Simplistic Rock Stun?

Recommended Posts

My first attempt at something like this, so it might be very, very wrong. I planned on actually trying to make this in the future if I could, so I excluded usage of cards I wouldn't have access to, such as Pot of Duality, and since I own a Solemn Warning... Yeah. Based on a Gadget build I saw online, and thought it might be nice to try it out.

I am trying to test out Big Piece because apparently it has good synergy with the Core Chimeras. When they're not out you will be able to lay down a beatstick, and when they are he can be revealed for their upkeep. I will test out the deck, and if I end up hating it too then I'll make the changes.

EDIT: Big Piece actually was a very helpful card in the deck, but Vanity's Fiend was always a dead draw in three duels... So I took them out for another Wall and Fossil. I might need more monsters, too... Any suggestions for a monster to add?

Also, my opponent flipped my Fossil Dyna face-up with their Karakuri's effect and destroyed their field. lol

Gaia Plate and Big Piece Golem are pointless.
-1 Gaia Plate
+1 Fissure
-2 Big Piece Golem
+1 Thunder King
+1 Fissure/Nobleman (depending on your local meta and personal preference)

Gaia Plate provides a beatstick that's easy to bring out, being able to take out pretty much anything that my opponent has on the field. That way I don't have to worry about being outgunned. I have yet to draw it, though, so I can't say much in how helpful it is... Big Piece has been very useful if not only for the fact that he is always there to be used for a reveal. He also has made a decent beatstick that helped me win out against Karakuris (though I lost the match by a slim margin).

Can't add another Thunder King because it would cost too much to get 3. I currently have 0.

I hate Wall, because this deck tends to not get very much on the field, and so his special skill of stopping spells doesn't help too much, so I'm gonna replace him with a Breaker and see how that goes.

I don't feel like using a Solid build for this. The deck needs to have cards to take care of the cards on the field, not more attack power. Plus I need a higher concentration of monsters because you can't believe how many times I've drawn into nothing but spells and traps.

Thinking of dropping Compulsory for either Dust Tornado, Dust Trapshoot, or Nobleman of Crossout. Opinions?

Are you going for an anti-meta or an aggressive build? Because gaia plate is horrible in anti-meta. The only real advantage of running BPG is to reveal for Wall/Sandman/Guardian, which you have plenty of other targets for.

- 1 Gaia Plate
- 2 BPG
- 1 Chain Dissapearance (side)

+ 1 Wall
+ 1 Judgment
+ 2 Random Tech (breaker, compulse etc.)

If you have no judgment, + 3 fissure.
