The Muslim Brotherhood are fanatical psychopaths, and Sharia Law is worse than anything Mubarak ever did. Seriously, Egypt was better off with Mubarak than it will ever be with a group that thinks women should be stoned if they are raped.
This is the 2nd time you made this comment. If you hate Muslims/Islam, that's fine, but don't make such racist/stereotypical comments. First off, the Sharia Law has nothing for "being stoned for getting raped". And believe it or not, current society doesn't mean right and wrong, nor does it establish perfection to society. Islam is an old religion, but much ahead of its time. It gave women, slaves, and children rights. It established rulings and laws beyond the scope of crime, like social dilemmas and good hygiene and health, things that current governments fear to touch. Some examples of Islamic Laws: It rids problems like early sex and adultery (adultery in the sense of Islam is to have sex with anyone except your wife, regardless if you're married or not), one of the greatest problems of modern society (STDs, pregnancies, dignity, etc. you learned all this in health class). Only specific animals can be eaten (most farm animals excluding pig) and must be killed in a humane and proper manner (not recklessly slaughtered, but killed by decapitation, bathing and cleaning it, and then cooking it), which is why Muslim vegetarians are rare and is much healthier (personally, I never eat pig. It's just too unhealthy). Sharia proclaims an end to all (bad, not medical) drug and alcohol use, sell, and manufacturing, another major problem in current society. A tax system is used to feed the poor and hungry, yet another major problem in current society (hardly any poor or hungry existed in the time of Muhammad). Islam has a praying system in which you pray 5 times a day (and not like the Christian prayer, you actually get up and prostrate, stand, etc.) which not only requires you to wash yourself (wash your head/face, arms, and feet 5 times a day. That, my friend, is hygiene, something uncommon in the past and even today), but also is a great stress reliever, daily exercise, spiritual growth, and greatly depletes laziness (so you don't sit in front of the TV 24 hours of the day). Also, wakes you up early in the morning. Ramadan is a month in the Islamic Calender where all Muslims are to fast and hold a state abstinence. That means you can't eat, drink, or have sex from early dawn to sunset. Not only is it a great weight controller, it teaches people patients and the importance of food and water. Glоrious
^I hate quote dialogue. Sorry, but this is what Sharia is. It is a law system devised about a millennia ago, and it shows. I have studied Sharia and Islam, and Sharia dictates corporal and capital punishment, which are both inhumane and disgusting. It promotes punishment for crimes such as masturbation, adultery and being raped (yes, a woman being raped is punished for sex outside of marriage). Polygamy was promoted until some Muslim states had the sense to ban or restrict it. No, this is not Sharia. Do you not understand that religion is often used as a label for governments? You've obviously never studied it, you barely know a thing about it. Your opinion has no value; corporal punishment existed in the past, and today, and is still a very effective in child cooperation. And just FYI, that's not Sharia, that's people (every culture, nation, and faith allows it). In fact, Islam is of the few that degrades the abuse of children, and usually are cooperative without it (not like western children where respect to parents is at an all time minimal and total disregard for self-safety). Capital Punishment is nothing new, nor is it old. It existed throughout time, and still exists today. Polygamy is still found in Islam. I have no problems with it. It amazes me that most westerners condemn polygamy, but not homosexuality, a much more dangerous and inhumane for of marriage. There is no punishment for masturbation (although most parents tend to marry their kids early to avoid such degrading acts). And as I explained numerous times before, you are NOT punished for being raped, so stop bringing it up. Only the rapist is punishment. I'm not ignorant. Go look this up on the Sharia wikipedia article, news programs, other online sources of information. It's all there. Wikipedia is hardly a source of education and study. News Programs don't teach a faith, just current news. Why don't you try picking up a book instead? If you're so determined to take down an entire form of government and faith, you best start study. Your lack of knowledge is not a good mix with your stubborn attitude to continue bringing up false claims. Don't bullshit. The purpose of Sharia is that it is Islamic law. Most of them adhere to it, which is why that man was stoned to death for sex outside marriage recently. Read the first sentence of my previous post. I challenge you to bring me one current Islamic Leader that completely adheres to the Islamic Faith and Sharia Law. 9/11 was done by Muslims, and they did it in the name of Islam. Yet, Islam completely condemns such actions. Like I said before, people use faith as a label to justify their actions. It's nothing new. The ruling for Adultery is much too difficult of a case for an actual execution. You need 4 viable witnesses that are considered righteous. Now, unless you have sex in the middle of the streets, you will nearly always get either a lighter sentence or freedom. And peeping toms aren't exactly what you would call righteous. It's more to control public sex and pornography than to rid the world of adulterers (and also to control adultery). What has that got to do with anything? We are talking about whether Sharia is a good thing or not. You're the one who brought it up. Using excuses as "things not even considered crimes by the vast majority of modern society" is not exactly a strong argument. Woman are forced to wear burqas. That doesn't give them rights, that restricts them. Ah, yes, the most standard excuse in the book: "Hijab is forced". Burqa is form of recommended Hijab, NOT required (its cultural. A long skirt+long-sleeve shirt+scarf works just as well, as long as only the face and hands show). I thought you'd bring this up. I'm glad you did, it just shows me just how much lack of knowledge you have. Now, why, and please, mind my tone, but why is this bad? Not to say that it is forced, but Hijab is one of the most beautiful things in Islam. You ever look a girl with lust? "Oooh cleavage, big ass, etc". Well, you might not realize it, but you are looking at a human being, with a brain and heart. What's sad about this is, it's the greatest form of sexism. Women are viewed as objects of sexual pleasure. You might disagree, but a man will see breasts before brains. Hijab ends all that. When I see a women wearing Hijab, I see a women who has a mind. I see a human. I don't see that big ass or busty chest. When she speaks, she speaks with mind and logic, not of an object. Allow me to tell you a little bit of history; in Pre-Islamic Era, women were treated so badly, they were treated worse than slaves. They were objects; a possession like a chair. Some men were so disgraced that they had a baby girl, they'd bury her alive. When Muhammad's Era came, suddenly, a feminine revolution came. They were given basic rights. The man had to pay her money to marry, and must clothe, feed, and support her and her children. Since I don't have much time to write an essay about it, just read this book that explains the rights of women in Islam: http://www.al-islam.org/rightsofwomeninislam/ I'll leave this statement and move on: of the entire past and current world, not one form of faith or government has respected and dignified women as humans and equals like the faith of Muhammad. The most respected women today are the Muslim women, by both Muslims and non-Muslims. The British government have the NHS, they have regular anti-smoking and healthy eating advertisements. We have youth programs that encourage them to not stick to gang culture. Those are social and health dilemmas. Go look at the suicide rate of teenagers in the west, and compare it to the middle east, then come back to me. Adultery with a condom perhaps? You ignore the fact that almost everyone has the sense to use condoms, particularly in cases of adultery (where pregnancy is something that the adulterers really want to avoid). And if all of these laws forbidding sex outside marriage and adultery are there for the purpose of stopping STDs, then why were they first written at a time when no one knew pathogens existed? And a lot of Islam woman are married off young, so they end up having "early sex" anyway (often with a man they had no say in marrying) Sex is for reproduction. No one can deny that. Sex for pleasure isn't something people should be doing in the first place, especially teens. Islam proposes marriage to quench sexual desire. Early Marriage (let me just say, this "no say in marrying" crap is getting old. Women get married to their heart's desire. Nothing in Islam forces marriage) to quench masturbation. Tell me, what is the teen pregnancy rate in the west? Pretty high, eh? Condom broke probably, right? Condoms do not stop all STDs. Nor does any form of birth control, except abstinence of course (original prescription of Islam 1400 years ago, and still lively today.) Losing your virginity at age 15, losing your innocence, addiction to sex, etc., etc., etc. A simple marriage solves all that. Now tell me, which is more humane, since you seem to care so much about it. Halal meat is meat that has been slaughtered by slicing the jugular and letting the animal bleed to death. The slice itself is agonizingly painful and the animal remains conscious for a minute as it slowly dies. That's vile and deplorable I couldn't help to stop and lol. Since you care so much about the slaughtering method, how does the west slaughter their animals? Oh ya, electrifying them. Ouch, that's gotta sting. No respect, no ritual, no prayer, no cleaning, no nothing. Like *boom, you're dead, next*. Yes, clearly, Islamic Slaughter is much too inhumane compared to the slaughter of non-Islamic Companies (they'd laugh in your face if you said "that's inhumane"). Read this nice little article: http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/240795-world-revolution/page__st__20 You bring all the western excuses of hypocrisy (You have been severely damage by the media. I suggest you use your logic and questioning more). Not only does it NOT cause pain, but is much healthier in contrast to the slaughter of western companies, which, according to the study, causes severe pain and is less healthier. Pork is meat, humans are carnivores. We are genetically predisposed to eat meat. Pork is actually quite a healthy meat. That's what I thought at first. But then I read this Christian Article: http://www.ensignmessage.com/archives/porkfacts.html Haven't eaten pork since. Seeing as Muslims do not smoke and drink, in Islam there is already an end to all drug and alcohol use. Why do you feel the need to force that proclamation on those who enjoy going out for a pint? Muslims don't drink because its prescribed by Sharia Law. Alcohol is harmful to you and those around you, that's why. Drinking and driving has killed how many in the west? I'm sorry, your excuse is "I just wanted a pint"? Throw the book at 'em, judge. Of course, you tried removing alcohol with prohibition, but then came Al Capone and the crime rates skyrocketed. Zakat is a good thing and a great policy, but don't lie. There were many poor and hungry people in the time of Muhammad. In the 7th century AD there were countless starving people. Is that right? I'm curious, where did you get this fact? Yes, it does, but it also causes the deaths of weak people worldwide and digestive disorders. Encouraging children not to eat for a month every year is utterly idiotic. Why risk the deaths? You can't fast if you're sick, it's a ruling. And there's nothing wrong with fasting. You eat at night (not wait for 30 days). Children, or anyone for that matter, don't die from fasting. That's utterly idiotic. It teaches children patients, what's so idiotic about that? It's something most westerners need to learn. Ignorance and hatred resonates through Sharia too, in the form of mutilation and whipping, stoning to death and punishments for crimes that are not considered crimes by most of the world. Ignorance in the form of imposing it on those who disagree with, ignorance in the form of hurling lumps of rock at anyone who doesn't want to be a Muslim until they die. Sharia is a disgusting, foul, bigoted law system. I honestly hope that no one should ever have to suffer death for disagreeing with someone Meh, you never learn. What can I tell ya, you just try to bring the ugliest sides of a beautiful faith and directly attack only that. Not even taking into account the numerous stereotypes and idiotic western propaganda in which you plea. This is the last time I reply about this. This thread was not about Islam or a debate. My original comment asked you to stop making ignorant and stereotypical comments. You obviously wanted to start a debate out of stubbornness and hijacked the thread. I quote: "Whoever throws himself down from a mountain and kills himself will be in the Fire of Hell, throwing himself down therein for ever and ever. Whoever takes poison and kills himself, his poison will be in his hand and he will be sipping it in the Fire of Hell for ever and ever. Whoever kills himself with a piece of iron, that piece of iron will be in his hand and he will be stabbing himself in the stomach with it in the Fire of Hell, for ever and ever." Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5442; Muslim, 109. They do. That is ignorant, condoms are a barrier that STIs cannot get through. Oh, a condom. That's a lot more humane. And why should people be innocent at that age? Not only does that make them ignorant, but it also makes them more susceptible to rape. On the topic of rape, did you know that Muslim sex offenders are one of the only groups allowed to opt out of treatment because "it's against their faith"? Sweden is currently the country with the highest rape statistics in Europe, and in 2005 62% of rapes carried out were by Muslims. Seeing as the animals are stunned before being electrocuted, they aren't aware of it nearly as much (sometimes the stunning process goes wrong, but I'd rather be electrocuted than have my jugular sliced open and remain totally conscious as I die. It's a Christian article, really. Seeing as it features no scientific references (and decries pigs for having one stomach and taking four hours to digest our food - we do that too), it is safe to assume that it is bull. Alcohol is a bad thing and a poison, but people are free, you see. Also, drinking and driving has killed thousands, but religion has slain millions upon millions. Think of all of the natives whose countries were invaded by the Ottoman Empire. They were enslaved and killed. Think of all the poor people in Africa whose religious charities tell them not to use condoms. Comparing religion, a millennia-old source of death to drink-driving is a ridiculously ignorant comparison to make. Zakat is a good thing and a great policy, but don't lie. There were many poor and hungry people in the time of Muhammad. In the 7th century AD there were countless starving people. Is that right? I'm curious, where did you get this fact? It is common knowledge that everywhere in the world there was a terrible rich/poor divide during those times. There was still slavery, still wars, still the killings of those who disagreed with you. Back then you would see dead bodies in the street. It was normal. Again with the casual racist notion that all westerners are ignorant scum. I know Muslims who don't think that. I have Muslims who are my friends that don't think that. And what of those who do not know they are sick, those who have silent health problems? Fasting will aggravate that. Egypt reported that the sales of products related to digestive disorders shoots up every year after Ramadan. Again with the casual slagging off of everyone in the west. Contrary to your assertions, the west does not preach Islamophobic propaganda. We do not want to destroy it. Although I think it is wrong, the rest of the west does not. And besides, as long as you don't force your beliefs on me, I'm happy. You can believe what you want, as long as you don't preach to me or tell me I am wrong or that I should be killed or punished for believing differently to you. You can believe that adulterers should be stoned as long as you don't force that on anyone. This is the last time I reply about this. This thread was not about Islam or a debate. My original comment asked you to stop making ignorant and stereotypical comments. You obviously wanted to start a debate out of stubbornness and hijacked the thread. I would appreciate it if you didn't take this issue any further.
Are you correlating people gaining rights in areas deemed negligible of them with the downfall of humanity? This is all well and good, but imminent and only a revolution in the Middle East. The true question is whether the countries like US, China, Canada, Brazil, Britain, Japan, France, Russia and other generally well off industrialized countries will go through the social revolutions they require. This is hard as those societies have people unaware of what it is they want and need.
^I think we'll just agree to disagree. AsterikcAde
Egypt was so glorious until the Arabs and the Romans took over, now Egypt is just a cesspool of angry savage Muslims willing to rape, pillage, and murder anything in their Path. This is what happens when people colonize another country, it only brings madness, sooner than later, The United States is gonna head to that road, I guaranDAMNtee you it will.
We the United States always interfere in other countries business, like it or not be we are the new England, trying to colonize half the world so we can gain control over them, that's what we've been trying to do for over 100 years now, just look at the facts, how many U.S. Military Installations are there planted on each nation hm? This is why the world hates the U.S. so much is because we TRY WAY TOO HARD to control the diplomacy of nations, that's our deal ever since England captured America and that is the deal today, plain and simple, I'm laying it out raw like it is.
