Kingdom Hearts

I recently just started using YCM but I'm a Kingdom Hearts fan and wanted to make some Kingdom Hearts cards. I'm starting with Heartless by cameo appearance and plan on working on up through protagonists, antagonists, worlds and keyblades when I have the time, and ultimately Kingdom Hearts II. These are the first 30 Heartless but many more will be on the way:

P.S. Instead of just putting random levels, ATK and DEF, etc. I actually did some research on each Heartless:

The level is based on the battle level of the world each Heartless first appears in (ex. Barrel Spider originates from Monstro; Monstro's battle level is 5, so Barrel Spider's level is 5).

The ATK and DEF is the Heartless' stats in it's cameo world x 100 (ex. Bandit from Agrabah: 18 x 100 = 1800 ATK, 15 x 100 = 1500 DEF).

All the Heartless as of now are Normal Monsters, but antagonists, protagonists, worlds and keyblades will all have effects. Heartless from Kingdom Hearts II will also have effects.

The card's rarity is also the frequency that the Heartless will appear in it's cameo world (ex. Soldier is seen frequently in Traverse Town, so the card is "common"; Bouncywild appears occasionally in Deep Jungle, so the card is "rare").

I put copyrights for the original artist (Tetsuya Nomura), Kingdom Heart's release date for the U.S. (2002) and one of the companies that made Kingdom Hearts possible (Square Enix). All statistics were found in the "Kingdom Hearts: Official Strategy Guide" by Dan Birlew.

P.S.S. Some Heartless had no entry in Jiminy's Journal, and so they couldn't be a Normal Monster. Shadow Sora, for example, didn't have an entry, and so I had to add an effect related to it.

It doesn't make much sense to me for the fat bandit and large body to have a higher defense than attack considering they were invunerable in their front in the game and pretty slow attackers. Also why are all the nocturnes Dark types?

Yeah, I know. Kinda retro compared to the new Kingdom Hearts games, huh? Got to start somewhere though, right? I'll get to Kingdom Hearts II when I finish the KH1 Edition.

I'm pretty sure you meant "higher attack than defense", but yes I understand your point. I just put in what their stats were from KH1. Invulnerability in the front wasn't considered a "boost" in defense, so the defense stat on the cards is simply their defense when attacked from behind. I'm planning on adding an effect to each of them to give a better defense in the KHII Edition.

That's a good question about the Nocturnes. At first I was going to make the Nocturnes different attributes, but then I noticed... There's only a Fire attribute; there's no Ice or Lightning or... Grass? I still wanted their types to be the same (Heartless) so that any future effect that applies to Heartless applies to them. I think I'll add effects to make them act more like their types, so thank you for your concerns.

Ice is basically water. Ice is made of water and the nocturnes weren't grass-types that's Pokemon. I would've just gone with wind since that matches their color. Could've involved an effect around restoring life points with them.

Lol, I think I meant Plant, as in the Yugioh card type. But yeah, I know about the ice and water correlation; Demyx's water attacks were actually blizzard-based attacks on KHII for example. But I thought it would be wierd if two Nocturnes had related attributes and two didn't. Light and Wind attributes (or Thunder and Plant types) might have worked for the Yellow Opera and Green Requiem respectfully, but I decided to stick with the Dark attribute and the Heartless type because Heartless are still living darkness, no matter their shape or powers are. But you did give me a good idea. For example, Crimson Jazz (another Nocturne family member) on KHII; I plan on giving him an effect like, "When this card is on the field, it is changed to the Pyro type." Something like that for each Nocturne. Since Crescendo replaces Green Requiem with its healing abilities on KHII, I'm going to give Crescendo a restoring life points effect instead.

You can find renders and stats for Heartless among other things on this site.

Actually, it's just their actual stats from the game x 100. All of them would actually be that tough in the Yugioh Trading Card Game if they were real.

Sora, Donald and Goofy? Not sure yet. I was thinking their starting stats x 100, but there will be Equip Cards for each--Keyblades, Staffs and Shields, respectively. For example, I'll use the stats Sora gets in KH when he chooses the Wonder Staff and gives up the Wonder Sword in Dive Into the Heart (3 ATK x 100 = 300 ATK; 3 DEF x 100 = 300 DEF); Let's add the Kingdom Key Equip Card (300 ATK); Now, Sora has a total of 600 ATK and 300 DEF. Not much, but how about if the Ultima is equipped? That's an extra 900 ATK, giving him a max of 1500 ATK on Keyblade Equip Cards alone. The same could be applied for Donald and Goofy with the Save the Queen and Save the King, respectively. Also, each will have Spell Cards that specifically work for that character (Strike Raid for Sora, Fire for Donald, Goofy Turbo for Goofy, etc.). Plus, I'll make a "Trinity Limit" Spell Card that will help turn the tables when the trio is cornered. All in all, just like in Kingdom Hearts, they might be weak by themselves, but they'll be strong when together.
