Jinx

I seem to have problems with Jinxing myself. Almost every time I predict something (that is bad) will happen, it seems to come true.

Here is a sample that happens far too often.

Me playing Black Ops.

I kill someone.

"Hmm...I bet the instant I hit the reload button, a guy will come around the corner and frag me."

*Hits reload button*

A guy comes around the corner.

I get fragged.

"Crap."

How often do you Jinx yourself/others?

It was my class in Grade 7 vs. another Grade 7 class for the School's Finals. We started out 2-0, and around the end of the first or second period, I said "We are so going to win", then some people started bitching at me for jinxing our teams winning streak. A period after I believe we tied 2-2, but ended up winning at the end through an old fashion shootout. Funny thing was the person we didn't want on the team in the first place got us the game winning goal.

Oh, this jinx was heartbreaking.

I was walking through the Ice Path, having just blew my chance at catching the Red Gyrados.

"I'll never see another shiny Pokemon again," I thought.

I ran into two normal colored Jynxes before I stumbled across a shiny Swinub by accident. Then I accidentally killed it. ><

Thats true. I'm not sure what CoD he's referring to.

He said AC-130. That's only in MW2.

That reminds me of the time I accidentally killed a shiny Linoone in Ruby.

Well, so one day, I got really angry at this blond uncle of one my friends who bullied her, and so I killed him. Then, I got really angry at this blond pedodoctor, and then he killed himself. Then, I got really angry at this gray-haired policeman, and then he dissapeared. Then, suddenly, one of my friends who I didn't feel really angry at died on her house's front porch. Then, I got really angry at my town, and everyone there died except me.

So much for coincidences.

You're supposed to save before the red Gyarados anyway. :V

Flak Jacket.
That's a perk in Black Ops, he's talking about Modern Warfare 2. And Flak Jacket won't protect you when you get sticked >___>

I kept telling people that this one girl liked me only to find out she did previously and now likes someone else ._.

"Oh my god Libya is so small on this map geez poor guys probably aren't on the news much HA! I bet you some idiot is going to make the people mad and then they will be on the news for days..."
-_-
I said those exact words a couple of years ago (except for the small part, Libya is actually bigger than France).

Being logical, I decided that if I say that I am not going to win or do well I normally end up doing well. That way if I win I can celebrate my intelligent use of reverse psychology and if I lose I can say I saw it coming.

I'm such a horrible person.

@OP: not very often, mostly because its stupid and nobody cares about doing it anymore. If it does happen its an awkward silence/moment followed by a brief laugh.

Self-fulfilling prophecies are a real psychological phenomenon, and how often they actually occur is shocking. Seeing as I am so socially unpredictable, I find that telling myself to do something actually means I won't do it, therefore (as I referred to earlier) I often tell myself that I will lose or fail to do something and due to this opposite effect, my subconscious makes an active effort to win.
