Lore:
When you draw this card, return it to your Deck. During your 3rd Standby Phase after this card effects activation, draw 2 cards. Each player can only activate the effect of "Belluaire of the Ice Barrier" once per duel.

Lore:
When you draw this card, return it to your Deck. During your 2nd Standby Phase after this card effects activation, if you control a face-up WATER monster, draw 2 cards. Each player can only activate the effect of "Belluaire of the Ice Barrier" once per duel.

Love it! Gives Ice Barrier draw power and can be combined with Chaos-End Master once you return it to the Deck.

OCG:

When you draw this card, return it to your Deck. During your 3rd Standby Phase after this effect's activation, draw 2 cards.

8/10 Because of OCG and I don't like the artwork.

How does this benefit Ice Barriers? It's just a generic draw card... lol. But it's an alright one.

Anything from Triangle to Mirror. Makes it a good target for effects, etc.

Then modify the effect like this:
When you send this card to the graveyard as a cost for an "Ice Barrier" monster effect, return it to your deck. During your next Standby Phase, draw 2 cards. The effect of this card can only be activated once during the duel.
Otherwise, it pretty much behaves like a generic draw card for any kind of deck, and hardly "Ice barrier" worthy.

Ryko is used in hundreds of other Decks, does that make him non-LS worthy? Nope. It'd be good to have an Ice Barrier monster people actually used that wasn't a Synchro.

It directly fuels the purpose of its Archetype though. This does nothing of the sort. Not to mention, by the 3rd Standby Phase most duels are over. Just run Moray of Greed or whatever. And this card is slow, even by Ice Barrier standards =/...

(I run General Rush/Synch).

From what I can tell from running them, Ice Barrier has no general direction. They thrive on surviving only. And 2 of their synchros require them to discard for their effects, which gives this card a moderate use.

Geomancer, and a couple of their other lower leveled cards use discarding costs to activate their effects. So it has more use in a dedicated deck (which is what we need without them being as poor as they are). And from what I can tell, they TRIED to be a Control Archetype but Konami got lost along the way =/...

Yeah. And the irony? Trishula isn't an exclusive card only to the Ice Barriers as well >.> And Brionac wreaks in a Fabled Deck...

=/, common treatment to exclude the Synchros from an Ice Barrier set. Since they're so damn good compared to the rest >_>" lol. (I never use Brio in a General Rush deck, but Trish does amazingly).

But just so this stops poking fun at my wording, to sum up what Ive been saying:
"I do find this card to be a bit slow, and it being a generic card that's slow even by Ice Barrier Lower Leveled Monster Standards bothers me. Why not change up the effect so that it can be faster, support the lower leveled barriers and still supply that healthy draw instead of using a frog engine/moray of greed?"

Its not that slow when you think about it, since your most likely going to draw it during your Draw Phase and then you can get the first Standby Phase out of the way directly after. It then basically becomes the same length as Gold Sarc etc. The fact it activates (most likely) at the Draw Phase speeds up the effect.

I don't want this to be an "Ice Barrier" exclusive effect, but I do want it to work well within the archtype. I think the way I have the card now, it is bordering on being broken and is very splash-able.

So here is an updated version that makes it less splash-able, speeds it up, and benefits the archtype without being exclusive, since the 2 main themes of the "Ice barrier" archtype is a healthy number of cards in your hand, and a stubborn field presence or like Vough said "They thrive on surviving only." Also this effect is more balanced because it gives your opponent a real opportunity to counter it unlike the first.

Lore:
"When you draw this card, return it to your Deck. During your 2nd Standby Phase after this card effects activation, if you control a face-up WATER monster, draw 2 cards. Each player can only activate the effect of "Belluaire of the Ice Barrier" once per duel."
