Lonk
Why have they been spreading rapidly recently? Discuss.
.Starrk
May I ask what these insects do? I have no knowledge of what you are talking about.
Lonk
Boxelder bugs are at the most part harmless, but they not only creep the feces out of people, but they eat various plants. Plus, they walk over people's skin, fly around in your home, crawl up on you in your sleep and live in your home's walls.
Βyakuya
Just like stinkbugs all around our house. I recall when they were everywhere and we all freaked out when we saw one...by the way where do you live? Just knowing where they shown up. Lonk
I live in the northeast. While they are common around there, they were never a problem. However, in the Summer of '10, my home was barraged by them and they don't let up much.

Clair
Boxelder bugs are plastered all over my aunt's house. They're nasty, but you can't kill them, because they're everywhere.

However, my family does a fine job controlling them (When one or more of them are vulnerable, we kill them with a napkin then either flush them or burn their corpse in hot water then dump them in the trash. We also spray at them with Windex).

Βyakuya
If you kill them, more will appear.....that's the common theory I heard in the late summer/fall. People avoid killing them because of their stench (stinkbugs...). BTW the pics of these insects are creeping the f**k out of me....D:

Hope that clarifies things. xD

If you don't kill them, they reproduce and make more bugs 2. They don't have any Stink Glands, so I don't mind killing them 3. I know. They give me the heebie jeebies. J-Max
Ewwwwwwww. Thank god I live in the UK. Worst I get is a few Ants & the odd Spider. Never had Cockroaches.
Lonk
Well, the Boxelder bug population has declined in my house for some reason...... Must be the lime/rust/calcium cleaner my mom kills them with (She even went outside and killed as many of them as possible like a *insert witty occupation*). Gospel.
Well the worst I got is this big ass spider (this things like 4 inches long) that has a web in the corner of my fence. It's just sat there for the past 2 weeks. Just chillin. But it creeps me out. I hate spiders, man.
Mehmani
Here in the UK we are fine, but my grandmother's house was infested with spiders for several years. They were absolutely everywhere.
