As you may know, I recently decided to focus on extending my cardmaking work to match some of my current writing projects. In this case, I decided to give you guys a sneak peak at another of the many Japanese-styled cards cards which will be featured in my upcoming writing project, End of Days. This card is one of several that belongs to a Winged Beast-Type Deck used by a supporting character. I have to get to know everyone in the Realistic Card Section again; apparently, a lot has changed since I was one of the premier cardmakers on YCM.. [/quote] Well, if you cannot tell by my comment, the card although useful, doesn't have any originality in the effect, or doesn't 'wow' me. Originality and Usefulness are two things that somewhat contradict each other when it comes to Card Making. Original cards have a good chance of being broken, underpowered, etc., thus leading them to not have any uses for the Meta (won't be used if underpowered, banned if overpowered / broken). Wero-Vasto: Hahaha I have no idea what you're talking about! But thanks for the comment; the Type-restriction is indeed designed to be a balancing effect that restricts its use to Winged Beast Decks. Anbu: Well, if you cannot tell by my comment, I was asking if you had any ideas to make its effect more original without sacrificing playability? Lol. Trust me, I know all about original effects; I've definitely been here a while. AngryBird: Thanks, I'm not too fond of Blackwings but I could definitely see them using this card too! You also just reminded me of something potentially fantastic. Ragnarok: Well, while I value your opinion, I feel like Tuners can't be too useful and diverse; if they do, they become overpowered. [/quote] The card in my opinion would be more playable if it had an optional effect with a cost that protects it through battle for a turn. What that cost is is all up to you. This card would also make it in my opinion, just a tad bit original. Sure the effects / costs when split apart are not original, but with the contrast of effects + a standard effect, it'll make a for a somewhat original, good card. CommanderVolt Posted April 15, 2011 Report Share Posted April 15, 2011 Essentially Fishborg Blaster + PSZ Combined into one. Being a Winged-Beast and a Wind gives it some nice support. I don't care for Fishborg and PSZ is a zombie which is one of my favorite archetype. Despite lacking "Originality" this card is quite good on its own, being supported by the ever-popular Divine Wind of Mist Valley and Reborn Tengu you could make some epic plays. Graceful Revival is an optional revival method. I'd have alot of fun with this card if it were real. Good Card, nice work. Provides alot of given speed but requires proper set up to Use effectively. So in a sense, you're absolutely correct! Haha. Those are all good options that you listed there; I actually wasn't familiar with Reborn Tengu until just now. Not really much to say as it's pretty simplistic but really effective in the current metagame. I'll probably have to see more from the theme do determine whether it's well supported or not. SHOULD BE: "If this card is Special Summoned by this effect, remove it from play when it is removed from the field." (Battle Fader) Otherwise, excellent card. I have now edited the card lore to incorporate the correct wording. Thanks for the high rating, as well! Rusty: Well it's true that Plaguespreader works well in a variety of Decks, but I do think that Salvo Crane has its uses, especially since Winged Beasts have gotten a lot more powerful lately.
