I think that'd be a little better:

LORE: You can discard 1 card from your hand to have this card attack your opponent directly. If you use this effect, halve this card's original ATK after damage calculation.

otherwise, it's a good, simple, useful card. :]
not very original though, still, I give it an 8.5/10

Of course, you have to come in here and show me up again! haha i would also give it about an 8.5. since you have to discard 1 card, you could even rais the attack to about 2000 and leave the DEF. just make it 5 stars
