I'm not trolling, I'm telling the truth. Meklord means the same thing as Machine Emperor does, but it's shorter, more convenient to use, and unifies the whole archetype. 3 reasons why it's good. So now give me 3 valid reasons why it's bad

1. The name could have been less laughable, like "Mechlord" since no other Machine-Types have that name. You were one of these skeptics, you cannot deny that.

2. Also, the Emperoros could have kept the infinity symbol or at least "Infinity" in it's name to be more accurate to both the anime and the English dub. The same can be said for Machinecle and Asterisk, as they can have at least a less laughable subname than "Astro". That makes no sense.

3. You're obviously a very bad troll. Stop it.

Mechlord is pronounced like Meklord. Meklord also looks more original

They don't have to be anime accurate with names. Though I must admit, "Astro" was stupid

I'm not a troll, and this is not a valid reason. 3-2, I win

He asked for "good" reasons.....not what you would prefer. Its your opinion that these names are laughable. Number 2 is the only semi-valuable reason, but the show and the card game are very different. As for 3, you're a very bad idiot. Stop it.

I was just about to say this, thank you for saving me the words.

Contrary to YCM belief, only a few changes are usually terrible....mostly stuff like Cyber Valley due to just dumb/blind translation. And Utopia is just awkward.

imo name "changes" are acceptable when:

1. they censor something (e.g. death > doom/des)

2. they change it to something that makes sense (mainspring > wind-up)

3. they change it to a similar but better-sounding name (pot of greed and generosity > pot of duality)

I don't like the name Utopia because it's only a part of the name. King Utopia would be a better choice if they really wanted to shorten it.

Guest ~King Crouton~

Utopia is a vanilla unless your opponent gets out a bigger monster. Pearl could be ran in his place for more muscle.

ITT...no...OTI = Having a different opinion makes you a troll.

I don't care what name change a card is given. Card games are not about awesome names. They're about playability, and this card is just as playable as Utopia as it was as Aspiring Emperor Hope. Though, I will always call this and every Monarch "King Crouton."

Meklord is an easily usuable name for the multi-Archetype when printing card effects. It's easier to print "something "Meklord" monster something" than "something "Machine Emperor", "Machine Imperial", or "Machine Imperial God" monster something." If they just printed "Machine", someone could cheat and use it with a Machine King or another crap Machine with "Machine" in it's name.

This game is aimed at American children who don't rub off to Vocaloid porn and study Japanese so they someday go to Japan to find their waifu. You have to make the product easier to understand and give less type to read which is why "Machine Imperial God Machinicle Infinity" is "Meklord Astro Mekanikle."

It makes perfect sense to change names and other stuff for a different culture. Not all parents would let their kids play games that have black magic, nudity, religious imagery, and depictions of Satan. If it doesn't affect gameplay, I say censor away.
