[YDI]Dismal Disarray[YDI]

Recommended Posts

[center]So I'm in the process of writing a fan-fiction named, Yu-Gi-Oh!: Demanding Identity(Name Pending). With this Set will be featured as the deuteragonist's Main set of cards(secondary main character). These card's will of course feature my new Game Mechanic Reaction Summon. But the preview card for this set shall be the Dismal Fire Drake. The Dismal monsters rely on card effects that depend on negating attacks and being destroyed in general also protecting your Life Points such as the below card. I did all the Japanese parts by myself and the Picture is by Raphtil. Template by Judas I resized it a little so it wasn't so overly huge. So without further ado here is the Set preview:

Attribute: FIRE
Type/Subtype: Dragon/Effect

This card cannot be Normal Summon or Set except from your Graveyard, while you control 1 face-up "Dismal" Monster Card. While you control this face-up card you take no Battle Damage involving a "Dismal" monster.

Pretty good idea, for that summoning. Need to see other Dismal though

shame it's lv5, and 1900 atk is quite weak for it

I'd have made it 2100 atk or something

and that all it does is prevent battle damage is a bit bland, though was that your intention?

The point is that the Summoning requirements are like this for a reason and with the three main Effect Monsters on the field you can go through the normal summoning routine without sending it to the Graveyard, Dismal Larva which will be on the next update. And Dismal Archfiend also allows you to prevent other dismal from being destroyed by battle. The monsters are made to lockdown your opponent but the Spells and Traps will revolve around heavy burn damage.

Interesting start. Sounds like a pretty sound Stall/Burn archetype, I like the idea a lot as (prepare for old-timie Yu-Gi-Oh player rant) nowadays everything is Synchro Summon ! Synchro Summon ! Synchro Summon ! Not like that's a bad thing. But yeah a good start. Are they all going to be FIRE ? The picture is awesome and I like the sound of an archtype based on despair. 8/10

No they aren't all going to be FIRE but I thought it would be fitting for my fan-fiction. As the deuteragonist's main set of cards because he is in despair of his lack of never beating the main character
