Looks or Personality?

Ghoulish

Recommended Posts

As it says to you Guys and Girls out there, what is it that attracts you mostly to the opposite sex in terms of getting a relationship? Looks or Personality? What Looks? What type of Persona? Be truthful, everyone's different.

If I personally was to choose I would say that, although personality is important, the initial attraction is their appearance, the personality is then later liked. Cute face and likes to keep in shape my olny requirements, in terms of personality, i personally don't mind in the slightest if the girl is shy and not heaps outgoing, but that's just me.

what about you??

Based on those findings, do you tend to go for personality as a prerequiset at the cost of looks?

If zeh girl's 'ugly-cute', obviously yes.

The most important thing usually in crushing to someone is the looks, the first impression. Of course when you get to know him/her better, the personality comes out too, and sometimes it might change your opinion, radically.

But it's also very usual that when you start being friends with a person of the opposite sex, you tend to later find yourself more attracted to him/her than you first were.

These both are pretty common though, so I guess it is kind of 50-50, even though I might find myself the look more important on the first place, then personality, but it's a close one.

Many people boast about how they prefer personality over looks, it's what's inside that counts, et cetera, but the truth is that no one really cares about that. Looks govern almost everything.

Make a note of this day, me and Mikhail agree on something. :o Because we're both cynical grumps.

First impressions are where relationships start, if you don't find someone good looking when you first see them, you won't go talk to them and find out if they are incredible or horrible. Sad but true, I'm quite shallow. Pains me to say. :(

To an extent. One must be physically attracted to some degree. And tht degree is like they wont cause you to wretch at the sight. However it's rude to state such an obvious thing. So yeah, Personality Over Looks.

As for looks, it's not something I'm the type to look for. Although I do say I've fallen for a girl because of "love at first sight", it really wasn't just the way she looked that grasped me into her. It was the way she talked, and in general, the person she is.

However, going by answering your question, things I look for in looks is just anyone who's proudly them. The ones who take in the flaws, do what they do, and wear what they feel comfortable in. Although I do love pretty faces, and there are a number of stunning girls that I know, I don't think it's just about being that flawless pretty girl; it's being that girl who's perfectly them. If that makes any sense anyways. I think as far as looks go, the girl with the fabulous and genuine smile is the one I'd be attracted to the most.

For personality, I have this small record of falling for shy and timid people, one boy and one girl. For the girl, she's very modest and sweet, who also has a great sense of humor and gets a kick out of the same things I do. She's quiet too though, and once told me that's she's not that talkative, yet when a conversation is initiated with her, she's great at keeping subjects going. I could just describe everything she is, but you can kind of see where I'm coming from already.
