~NOiSE~
I now present a lame topic. The last days of spring have slowly faded, bringing about the summer...a time that Floridians such as myself both love and hate. Love, because of the lack of school and other things. Hate, because walking outside is like walking into a sauna. If only there was no humidity, it would be almost perfect, but I digress. Since the lot of you are probably still in high school, you can now celebrate an entire summer of no assignments, teachers or homework. What are you planning to do with your free time? Any interesting prospects, productive or non-productive? I am now a sophomore in college, but I'm not taking any summer classes so I can focus on my musical pursuits; voice lessons, possible studio internship, and hopefully getting a band together to start writing. Discuss your summer plans.
Qu@ke
when I was in school there'd be assigned summer math and reading; does any school still do that?
Marisa Kirisame-ze
Going to Indonesia on July 2nd~ Should be awesome, since we're vacationing in Bali this year 8D And besides that, I'll just be hanging with my friends, going to summer parties, lots and lots of beach days, and eating my heart out. I also look forward to sleeping.
when I was in school there'd be assigned summer math and reading; does any school still do that?
I have summer reading. Gotta read "Catching Fire", which is the 2nd book of the Hunger Games. It's really not a bad assignment~
Qu@ke
wait, they have you reading the SECOND book in a series? Stupid Skool...
Marisa Kirisame-ze
How ironic. Calling the school stupid, but spelling "school" wrong. They assigned the second book because we were already assigned the first one last year.
Dwarven King
You're assigned to read the Hunger Games? What the hell? My school assigns books like "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "The Last Lecture". Both good books mind you, but why are you being assigned the Hunger Games? O.o
Qu@ke
Oh okay, as long as there was a method behind the madness.
Βyakuya
Ah summer. I made lots of new friends in high school, so it's kinda sad. I'll stay home, some relatives will stay with us for the whole summer, and we'll go on fishing, hiking, biking, and doing many more summer related stuff. I may also begin to read Death Note for the first time as promised. Yeah...it's going to be a long summer.
Marisa Kirisame-ze
Why not? I love the Hunger Games, they're quite amazing books, and because in LAUSD, we are assigned books like "To Kill a Mockingbird", among other classics, through the actual school year. So we get through quite a lot of good books, really.

Cin
My plan is do the same I've done for the last 3 years all year, look for a job and do some more voluntary hours at a charity shop, if I like it that is.

Cin
Yes it means I've failed to find a job, its very difficult in my city to find a job, and the sign on queue at the jobcentre seems to keep getting longer.

Maghion Syaoran Light
I just moved to Florida The family down here always has some barbecue or hangout going on most weekends. I live in a community type apartments with a couple public pools and a gym. Busch Gardens is not too far from me. And Orlando is only an hour and a half away. Should be a decent summer. Mehmani
I like humid and hot environments more than plain hot ones, but I still like hot and dry places like the Badlands and the Outback. I'm really going to enjoy India, I love the thick monsoon air.
