You're still giving weapons to minors. If you won't trust them with alcohol or driving, for example, there's no point in it for weapons.

Don't think about why not, right now. Think about why a child would have the capability of getting a weapon.

Now you are basically implying that all American minors are incompetent and have no common sense.

Yes, its true that America in some areas are giving weapons to underaged kids, illegally. But without a background check under federal law, a minor can not own a weapon legally.

Its not like just America only does it for f***'s sake. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/06/14/world/africa/14somalia.html

Cue scores of American kids who got guns for their birthdays. Nice to see the next generation of Columbiners coming through.

My step-father has a collection of ancient weaponry, including a standard issue Samurai Sword issued to Japanese soldiers during WWII, a Victorian diver's knife, a colonial Indian cane that contains a hidden blade and an American Civil War Bowie knife.

I've often considered buying a well made cane sword...that'd be sweeeeeeeeeet

I have a hammer. Not a war hammer of course. I also have like 4 machetes, 2 or 3 kitchen knives, more than a dozen dinner knives, something that looks like a mix of a machete and a scythe that my dad made to deal with big extentions of long grass, and of course, my brain.
