This deck is consisted of a new (made up) type of monster-type. Its theme falls under these categories: quick spawn, discarding (burning) cards, and counter. But what makes this deck different is that it runs on Life Points. The idea of this deck is that you can only activate your card's effects if you pay Life Points. Created using the Megaman Zero GBA series, and in memory of the "Legendary Reploid".

+1 Rep credit to [member='Newhat'] for his great and helpful comments and feedback
& Thanks to [member='se15fy'] and [member='Draconous'] for the +Reps.

If a "Zero" is Special Summon from your Deck to the field, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. This card's effect only applies if you control another Reploid-Type monster on the field or in your Graveyard. When this card declares an attack, it must attack twice (simultaneously). During your turn, this card cannot be destroyed by battle and any Battle Damage involving this card becomes 0 during your turn. This card's effect only applies if you control another Reploid-Type monster on the field or in your Graveyard. If the monster(s) on your opponent's side of the field are 1500 ATK or higher, this card can attack directly with 1000 ATK and increase your Life Points by 1500. If a "Zero" is Special Summon from your Deck to the field, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. If you control another "Zero" monster, once per turn you can activate the following:
· Pay 800 Life Points to destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on the field. This card cannot attack this turn.

If this card is sent to your Graveyard from your hand or Deck by a card effect, you can Special Summon this card to the field. This card's effect only applies if you control another Reploid-Type monster on the field or in your Graveyard. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, you can pay 500 Life Points to destroy the monster with this card's effect without applying Damage Calculation. Then draw 1 card from the top of your Deck and add it to your hand.
Oh and uhh... chillax about the images... i know the backgrounds white... and its not easy to find this guy online with a good image according to how i wanted (the many forms)... ... but i'm not about images... i'm more about a theme... decks nowadays without a theme or a card(s) to revolve around are not fun... i mean of course... a nice staple card is alright now and then... ... ... and as for the OCG... i tried my best... if you have a better way to put it all together i'd be more than glad to hear it... ... but pretty much like 90% of this deck i'm completely satisfied with... dont ask for changes it wont happen... i dont mind a bit of tweaking... but i wont even consider changes no matter how many stars or posts you got...

Important EDIT Notes:
PROs:
- Some monsters come out in pairs, and others bring themselves out when certain conditions are met, making it easier for you to quickly spawn the field.
- Lots of monsters to choose from your arsenal of cards, meaning lots of possible different strategies. Heck, your side deck can consist of nothing but Zero cards if ever needed to change from offensive strategies to defensive strategies, or maybe even counter.
- Every monster card has 'some' ability to either stand for itself, defend itself, or help you destroy your opponent's card(s) on their field and/or hand.
- Zero - Boomerang Form and Zero - Shield Form on the field is a crazy combination!
- If played correctly, and, with some luck, this deck can counter very... very well.
CONs:
- Majority of decks nowadays run on Special Summon, this deck requires most of the monsters to be Normal Summon first.
- The Zero monster's are not that strong. Majority of them average around 1700~1800atk (with one being 2000atk), which means this deck will have to rely on cards that increase their atk if it is going up against monsters who come out fast and strong (1800~1900 atkers). Disadvantage against high attackers.
- as with most other decks out there, this deck would have a disadvantage against cards that do not allow discarding cards to the graveyard or anything that involves the graveyard (Gravekeepers Deck). But also note, that Burn decks would almost entirely murder a Zero deck (because of Zero's Life Point usage).
- Though this deck counters very well, at times you find yourself using too much resources to counter (discarding way too much cards -or- sacrificing way too many Life Points), and often times it barely helps... and only stalls losing.
- It costs LIFE POINTS to activate just about any card's effect that you control, therefore, making it hard (or harder) to turn the tide in the game if you're low on Life Points... especially if you're losing a lot of Life Points fast.

Six Samurai
What i would considered to be the fastest spawning and most aggressive speed playing deck, this is one of Zero's worst enemies. My cousin's Six Samurai deck is no joke. The 1st duel with them and i lost on the 2nd turn, but mainly because he drew a very good hand (and even warned me). 2nd round duel was a struggle to take out his monsters especially while he had cards like Shien's, but i took the match. Out of our two sets of "2 out of 3" matches, he took one and i took one, both winning 2/1. Its no wonder i disliked the Six Samurai so much (they really are a cheap deck). But the truth is, i made Zero to rival the Six Samurai, and boy did they go at it. If it wasn't 3:00am in the morning me and my cousin would probably STILL be going at it.
Dragunity
My cousin said that his Six Samurai loses to his little bro's Dragunity deck almost all the time (like loses 9/10 duels). This punk deck was a challenge no lie! Zero deck was first tested on Dragunity (before it went up against Six Samurai). We only played three sets of "2 out of 3" matches but every time on the 1st or 2nd turn he pulls out either Dragon's Ravine and/or Synchs for Stardust Dragon immediately. The Duel's just started and i'm up against a 2500 hitter with an effect that is fuqkin broken as hell (excuse my language and my criticism). I remember losing either really badly because he pulls out 3 2500+ hitters or i took him down more than half way all because i countered, but would end up losing anyways. Dragunity is no joke, they synch really really fast and their monsters are real high hitters. Zero really struggled on this, but its understandable, because i made Zero to be on par with Six Samurai, so whatever poses a great deal of threat to them would be just as bad for us. I remember wining only a few duels, and all because i was able to take out his Stardust Dragons by buffing my Zero's monster's attacks.

Zero - I felt that he was too hard to summon i limited him to 1 per deck. I didn't really want to make him any easier to summon cuz then that would make him broken, but i also don't really want to change his requirements either. It turns out that even in a deck of 40 cards, i was never able to either (1) summon him or (2) draw him out.
Omega Zero - Now before you say things like "OMG, this card is OP you newb", STFU. o_O I'm kidding i'm kidding. This card never got any action. Because Zero himself was never tested, this card made it to the list as, "its just so freakin hard to summon!" But i dont plan on changing him, cuz i think he's worth the summon.

I've decided to keep these cards the way they are until they've been tested. There are a few cards that were created for this set but i took them out for now because i felt they were useless. I might put them in for show in the near future.

1 Zero

It doesn't take much of a genius to play this deck, but seeing as how this game has changed from being all about "high attackers" to playing more "strategic", this deck is for those who like variety. Its got a bit of everything, from offensive (aggro) to defensive and from spawning to a bit of counter.
You have 4 different monster cards (for a total of 12) in this deck that pull one or the other out (call them "partners" if you well). They are: Zero - Boomerang Form & Zero - Shield Form (possibly one of the most important main monsters to run in this deck), and Zero - Sword Form & Zero - Strike Form, each with their own effects that help you during battle or to gain the upper hand. Thats a total of 12 cards in your deck that guarantees you a pair of monsters on your side of the field. Its pretty hard NOT to have one on your hand from the 1st draw, but if you dont have any one of the cards mentioned above, you're still safe. Although, those monsters require you to successfully Normal Summon them before they can successfully Special Summon their "partner". And if spawning the field isn't quick enough, there's a Field Spell Card; The Unexpected Hero's Entrance, which not only gives you Life Points but stops your monsters from being destroyed by cards like Bottomless Trap Hole and Torrential Tribute! But it doesn't stop cards like Compulsory Evacuation Device, which will more than likely give you no options to summon that turn. But this deck was made to bring out monsters to hit the field hard, if not fast. So there are a few cards that bring themselves out if they are discard from your hand or deck to the graveyard. Those cards are: Zero - Dash Form, Zero - Dual Form, Zero - Chain Rod Form, and Zero - Knuckle Form. They can be special summoned from your hand OR deck if they are discarded from your hand or deck by a card effect (whether you or your opponent discards it). To assist you in doing this faster, you have cards like: Zero - Strike Form (which comes out in a pair!) and A Hero's Sacrifice, a trap card and one of the main cards in this deck to run with and help you counter and spawn the field... as well as thinning your deck.
Now you're thinking that a deck like this is TOO fast, and anything near an OTK is more than possible if cards get pulled out like this. You're right. The HUGE drawback for its speed and destruction, is its cost and requirement. Just about all your cards, like 80% of them, require that you pay a reasonable amount of your own Life Points to activate their effects. On top of that, unless you have a "Zero" monster (any monster with Zero in their name) on your side of the field and/or in your graveyard, none of your monster's effects applies while on the field. It would be wise to keep track of not only your Life Points, but the possibility that you may lose even more Life Points than whats expect in the next turn. And even with cards like The Unexpected Hero's Entrance (one of the main cards), you'll find yourself losing just as much Life Points as it is gaining when you are going on either the offensive or defensive. A wise player would know how to sacrifice his/her Life Points well in order to defeat their opponents, even if they have to bring their own Life Points down.
These cards have been tested in real life. I, myself, made proxy cards by using real (wack & old) Yugioh Cards and taping effects and stuff on them (looks really cool too o_O) to play against real Yugioh Decks out there. Though i had only intended to use this forum page as a record of my creation, i'm well aware of spectators such as yourself who may stumble upon this forum and find my creation interesting. Others may find a feeling of superiority/inferiority and find my creation... well... whatever they feel. I believe... no, let me say that again, i KNOW... that no one here are official Yugioh Card creators. Dont judge others as inferiors like they dont know sh*t about this game, instead, pass on your knowledge by giving them nice tips and comments. Not those snot 1 sentence with a 5/10 rating. The hell you think you are. O_o
xP
I'm kidding man chill... I'M the nice guy here yo... anyways, once i feel 100% satisfied with this deck, i'm gonna print out real card size cards to keep as a deck and duel others with it.

Why not add something like a 'Zero2' base card, and do half for Zero, half for Zero2?
... and add another Zero?.. as in create a different Zero monster and split the deck for both of them?...

... i AM curious of your ideas and by what you meant to say (haha)... because i wasn't too sure on what you meant...

... any ideas to this deck?... ... i haven't actually ran this deck up against real decks... but i have people with decks up to date with the game... ... i'm gonna print out this deck (in gigantic cards o_O) and run it against Six Samurai deck... Dragunity deck... and Anti-Meta deck... ... mainly cuz those are the only decks my buddies have at the moment...

what i mean is that all cards are based on "Zero". what i'm saying is that, yes make another Zero and split the cards in the deck between them. But thats my idea. You dont have to do it, I just think that it would make the deck a little more...interesting. Anyway, still 9/10. And could you take a look at my cards? There in the Realistic card section, called Warriors of Misery. The thread is "Misery Updated"

... (heh)... yeaup... i wanted a deck where other cards cannot interrupt with or more like you can't add too many other cards into this deck (even STAPLE cards)...
... i see... another Zero card eh... i know what you mean... ... and yeah... i counted the amount of cards in this deck if i used every single one of them... there are 57 cards counted (from LIMITED to max, monster to spells and traps)... ... and 57 is quite a lot... ... maybe i will try to simplify this deck (maybe o_O)...
... thanks for the rating... i appreciate it a lot (haha)... ... and i've rated your Warriors of Misery set with my utmost honest opinion...

You shouldn't enclose information in parentheses unless it's self-evident reminder text (and it's just for clarification).

You can't just Limit a card. You should build the Limitation into the card with "once per Duel" clauses and stuff like that. None of the monsters you marked are worth Limiting in any way, especially Zero. He's hard to Summon and not hard to remove. Pretty much everything that kills Stardust and Vampire Lord kills him too, and sending him back to the Deck while you have no hand and no monsters is painful.

Dark Zero can be Special Summoned. Is that why it's Level 4? It's all right. I have no problem with it being Unlimited; it's cost-balanced. You have to specify where it goes if you don't pay the cost (I assume it's destroyed).

On the monsters:

The wording on the recruiter Reploids should be
When this card is Normal Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 "Zero - Whatever Form" from your hand or Deck.
Zero - Boomerang Form should be one Level higher. That would make it a Level 4 2000-ATK Tuner with a weakness, which seems acceptable. It has nice synergy with Shield Form.

Zero - Shield Form seems all right. The discard effect doesn't destroy, and 500 LP for attack negation is fair considering that you need another monster to use it. It works with Shield Form and Spear Rod Form.

Zero - Dash Form is, simply put, broken. Any Spell Card? Sure. Ram him into Bora. Activate Monster Reborn from the Deck. Attack directly with Spear Rod Form, or just bring back Black Rose or something. Alternatively, wait until the opponent kills him, then pay 500 for Monster Reborn or Dark Hole. The damage is offset by the gigantic gain of activating a Spell Card from the Deck.

If I'm reading it correctly, Zero - Spear Rod Form is a bit too powerful in its design.
If there is another Reploid-Type monster on your field or in your Graveyard and the ATK of all monsters your opponent controls is 1500 or more, this card can attack your opponent directly. If this card successfully attacks directly, inflict 1500 damage to your opponent and gain 1500 Life Points.
That is not marginal damage. 3000 directly with one card is too much, and the recovery makes it viable to use repeatedly. Bump it down if you can.

Zero - Knuckle Form is whimsically overpowered as well as over-worded:
If this card is sent from your hand or Deck to the Graveyard by a card effect while there is another Reploid-Type monster on your field or in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon this card. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, destroy it with this card's effect without applying Damage Calculation, and draw 1 card.
That would be obscene on its own, but it also has 1900 ATK. It needs to lose two of its three effects, or one effect and 400 ATK, before it approaches "balance".

Good job separating the Tuners from the non-Tuners. I'm glad you didn't go the Instant Synchro route.

On some of the other stuff:

For X Buster Shot, the wording should be:
Pay 500 Life Points to Normal Summon 1 Reploid-Type monster from your hand or Deck in Attack or Defense Position. Then, you can destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card. You can pay 500 Life Points to return this card to the Deck instead of sending it to the Graveyard. The Deck is then shuffled.
It's a bit too much. For 500 LP, this card is a +1 or more, can't be negated by Solemn Warning, and totally outclasses Twister. Remove the last effect and it's still quite cheap. I suggest destroying the Summoned monster during the End Phase.

Lore for The Unexpected Hero's Entrance:
The Normal or Special Summon of a Reploid-Type monster cannot be negated. When a Reploid-Type monster is Normal or Special Summoned, or sent from your hand or Deck to the Graveyard by your card effect, gain 300 Life Points. During your Standby Phase, pay 500 Life Points or destroy this card.
Pretty good; not game-breaking. Might be worth running. Doesn't block Solemn Warning on Monster Reborn, though.

Since The Unexpected Hero's Revenge is a Spell Card, you don't need to say "during your turn" for its Ignition Effect. Here is revised wording:
All Reploid-Type monsters gain 300 ATK and DEF. Once per turn, you can select 1 monster your opponent controls, and change its Battle Position. During your Battle Phase, if your opponent controls more monsters than you do, you can pay 500 Life Points to select 1 level 6 or lower Reploid-Type monster you control. That monster can attack your opponent directly. During your Standby Phase, pay 500 Life Points or destroy this card.
Counter Clone's effect is unclear. Does it work only in response to a card that destroys a single card, or in response to a card that destroys any number of cards? See Musakani Magatama for an example of the latter. If it's the second case, yow.

Reploid Outbreak is far faster than it should be. It has the same cost as Return from the Different Dimension, but you can use it the turn you draw it--and the cards don't even have to be removed. Get rid of the parentheses, and maybe add more requirements. This is an easy OTK with Spear Rod Form.

Zero Graveyard sends how many monsters back to the Deck?

On the Synchros and Fusion:

Zero - Broken Form is meh. Even if it's at 4000 (unlikely), it can't attack directly and it doesn't stay on the field.

It's not too hard to pay Omega Zero's maintenance cost, but its effect cost is hugemongous and it won't block Dark Hole/Mirror Force. How can it be a Synchro Monster if neither material is a Tuner? I suggest adding that property to the Level 6 Zero.

The Legendary Reploid Zero has synergy with the Special Summon Reploids, but he's basically impossible to get out, even with Outbreak. A field wipe and 4000 ATK for one turn isn't worth it anyways. Here is the wording for its current effect:
This card can only be Special Summoned by removing the above monsters you control from play. (You do not use "Polymerization".) This card's Summon and effects cannot be negated. When this card is Summoned, destroy all cards on the field except this card, and discard all cards in your hand. This card returns to the Extra Deck during the End Phase.
Still, it's an interesting archetype, and most of the basic monsters are good.

8/10

wow what a feedback... i like... i like...

(1) ... good point... i shouldn't limit a card... ... but cards are limited for a reason... i didn't create this deck thinking it would fit the trading game with none of the cards being limited... right?...
(2) ... cards have weaknesses... if they didn't they become broken... i purposely made my deck weak to "Remove from play" effects... ... i dont intend to take away any of Zero's effects... i WANT him to negate EVERY effect targeting him (i understand Mirror Forces situation, but thats just 1 card that is LIMITED o_O)... ... if anything... maybe help me reword him if he needs or could use it???... xP ... if you wanna... ... cuz if i reword him to make him easier to bring out... all i'll see nothing but BROKEN all over him...
The wording on the recruiter Reploids should be
When this card is Normal Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 "Zero - Whatever Form" from your hand or Deck.

... i'm... lost?... (recruiter Reploid?)...

... thanks... but Zero - Boomerang Form will be left at Lv3... all tuners are intended to be lv3... unless i decide to make another Synchro monster... i'll make some possible changes... xP
... appreciate your comment on Zero - Shield Form as well...
Zero - Dash Form is, simply put, broken. Any Spell Card? Sure. Ram him into Bora. Activate Monster Reborn from the Deck. ... i spent like HOURS literally making this deck near perfection... and this card was the LAST one that i was stuck with trying to find SOMETHING for it to make it useful in my deck without making it too powerful... ... at one time i had it do direct attack ignoring monsters on field... but thats dumb considering it has little to do with my deck's structure... and another time i had it to where it can discard 1 card so it can double its attack... and etc.
... but sometimes when i read it... honestly... i think it just needs rewording... ... which i will get to right away!... dont worry you will approve of its effect when i'm done...
If I'm reading it correctly, Zero - Spear Rod Form is a bit too powerful in its design---
... wowz!... need major rewording is all... i got this dont worry about it... =P
Zero - Knuckle Form is whimsically overpowered as well as over-worded ---
... its not broken or no where near... because i'm testing out my cards (proxy type of cards) and its doing okay... ... mainly because people nowadays dont play monsters in DEF position unless its a specific deck... and if it just so happens to go up against that kind of deck... then awesome!... this card gets an advantage!... woot! xP...
For X Buster Shot, the wording should be---
... none of my cards activate their effects upon being summoned... you have to pay life points... ... in the end... this card is actually a high costing card for an extra summon... and yes i'm aware of it being more than a +1 card... ... its not broken or near... i've tested this one also...
Lore for The Unexpected Hero's Entrance---
thanks... this card is intended to be a necessary played card to run this deck well for a longer duration of the duel... ... i once lost by the 4th turn because i continually activated every one of my card's effects through paying Life Points... and before you know it my opponent sent out one monster and killed me... ... it wasn't even a high hitter either... just some normal 1800 hitter... ... and thanks dude!... i used your description for my card... the one for The Unexpected Hero's Revenge as well... the cards look better now... ... thanks a bunch!...
Counter Clone's effect is unclear. Does it work only in response to a card that destroys a single card, or in response to a card that destroys any number of cards? See Musakani Magatama for an example of the latter. If it's the second case, yow.
... Counter Clone only counters a single card... i thought it was clear enough since i used "a" instead of adding the "(s)" after "card"... ... and yes hahaha... i literally kinda sorta copied Musakani Magatama's effect haha... ... but this kind of card is common in just about every archetype's structure deck now... i think... (check out Gladiator Beast/Dragunity/not to mention Musakani Magatama from Six Samurai/etc?)...
Reploid Outbreak is far faster than it should be. Get rid of the parentheses, and maybe add more requirements. This is an easy OTK with Spear Rod Form.
... THIS card actually... has NOT been tested yet... (haha)... because i never drew it out in a dual... ... but have you considered the fact that this deck uses LIFE POINTS?... every card requires at least 500 Life Points to use its above average if not normal effect to try take advantage of the game... ... using 10 effects costs you 5000 Life Points... o_O

... yeaup... Zero - Broken Form is meh... thats intended hahaha...
... and as for Omega Zero... he's intended to have weaknesses... and you named 2 cards... xP ... sooooo... cool!... ... and the Synchro matter is fixed... ... Zero is now a Tuner... o_O

... and as for The Legendary Reploid Zero... i've never summoned him yet either... o_O
... that makes it a good thing...

... thanks for the feedback... ... its gotta be the biggest help yet... =j

Ok, I'll summarise in 3 points.

1) Great variety of cards. I like to see this in sets so well done. 3/10 so far!

2) New type. Personally I don't like this, but you've made it work. 6/10 now.

3) OCG! NO!!! You need to practice. Though understandable, it needs perfecting. 7/10 is what your up to.

Now for my personal point...no, you didn't earn it.

7/10. Well done, it's coming together.

May I offer you a student place in the YCM Card Making Academy?

Zero, the Legendary Reploid deck.
--- Edited by July 2, 2011 ~ 2:02pm ---

This deck is consisted of a new (made up) type of monster-type. Its theme falls under these categories: quick spawn, discarding (burning) cards, and counter. But what makes this deck different is that it runs on Life Points. The idea of this deck is that you can only activate your card's effects if you pay Life Points.

Oh and uhh... chillax about the images... i know the backgrounds white... but i'm not about images... i'm more about a theme... decks nowadays without a theme or a card(s) to revolve around are not fun... i mean of course... a nice staple card is alright now and then... ... ... and as for the OCG... i tried my best... if you have a better way to put it all together i'd be more than glad to hear it... ... but pretty much like 90% of this deck i'm completely satisfied with... dont ask for changes it wont happen... i dont mind a bit of tweaking... but i wont even consider changes no matter how many stars or posts you got...

- Every monster card has 'some' ability to either stand for itself, defend itself, or help you destroy your opponent's card(s) on their field.
- Zero - Boomerang Form and Zero - Shield Form on the field is a crazy combination!
- If played correctly, and, with some luck, this deck can counter very... very well.
CONs:
- Majority of decks nowadays run on Special Summon, this deck requires most of the monsters to be Normal Summon first
- The monster's are not strong. Majority of them average around 1700~1800atk (with one being 2000atk), which means this deck will have to rely on cards that increase their atk if it is going up against monsters who come out fast and strong (1800~1900 atkers). Disadvantage against high attackers.
- as with most other decks out there, this deck would have a disadvantage against cards that do not allow discarding cards to the graveyard or anything that involves the graveyard (Gravekeepers Deck)
- Though this deck counters very well, at times you find yourself using too much resources to counter (discarding way too much cards -or- sacrificing way too many Life Points), and often times it barely helps.

The 1st duel with them and i lost at round 2, but mainly because he drew a very good hand (and even warned me).
We only played three sets of "2 out of 3" matches but every time on round 1 or 2 he pulls out either Dragon's Ravine and/or synchs for Stardust Dragon immediately.

Zero - I felt that he was too strong so i limited him to 1 per deck. But it turns out that even in a deck of 40 cards, i was never able to either (1) summon him or (2) draw him out.
Reploid Outbreak - The same issue with this card. I never drew it. Then again, most average duels nowadays only last like 8-12 something turns.
Z Restoration - This card on the other hand has been drawn... it just never got any action. I was either too scared to use it due to the high cost of the card, or i didn't need it at the moment... and the duel ended before it was needed.
Omega Zero - Now before you say things like "OMG, this card is OP you newb", STFU. o_O I'm kidding i'm kidding. This card never got any action. Because Zero himself was never tested, this card made it to the list as, "its just so freakin hard to summon!"
The Legendary Reploid Zero - If you thought the previous card was hard to summon, check out this card. Due to decks these days being able to destroy cards pretty easily, i never had enough monsters on the field to bring out this foo. If anything, i might just consider making him stronger.

I've decided to keep these cards the way they are until they've been tested. There are a few cards that were created for this set but i took them out for now because i felt they were useless.

Needs more synchro monsters.
... i have to agree with you on this one... =P
... and i know Synchros are the thing these days... but being an ex-Yugioh player i wanted something "old school"... but new school enough to not get wooped in the butt by the 2nd or 3rd turn... ... i'll try to think of some Lv7 Synchros...
