Once per turn, this card can move to an adjacent unoccupied Monster Card Zone. If you use this effect, during this turn, you can Xyz Summon using this monster and the monster in it's same column as Xyz Materials. That Xyz Monster cannot attack this turn.

Pretty cool, I must say. However, Checkmate Queen is far too powerful. You can Normal Summon it, shift it, and cost your opponent a monster. I have no idea how to balance it. As for Checkmate King, drop its ATK to 2400 and it's fine.
Alright. Card 1 is fine I think. Soul Exchange for Exceeds. Fast though, might be a problem, idk.
I think it's too fast. Soul Exchange is only a Spell Card. Checkmate Queen just has too much support--The Warrior Returning Alive, for instance--and, like Breaker, it's modular if your opponent is sitting on a face-down Gravekeeper's Spy or something. If Checkmate Queen kept you from conducting your Battle Phase entirely, and maybe didn't get Stacked when you did an Xyz Summon with it, it would be a little more balanced.
