Even with Gigaplant they still weren't all that great. They weren't an actual deck-type until CSOC gave them decent support like Mark of the Rose, Miracle Fertilizer, Botanic Lion and Tytannial, Princess of Camellias.

As a "deck-type" however, they're pretty lackluster. As a splashable engine, they're better. Kind of like how Destiny Heroes worked.
