Whirr
I think that they should print an image of a deceased person who suffered from heart disease (the number one killer in America) on fast food bags. McDonald's is selling food that, when eaten habitually, will result in obesity and, eventually, death. All companies marketing these products are showing a complete disregard for our youth- inviting them to their death-aurants through friendly cartoon mascots. They are essentially making money off of the self-destruction of our youth. What do you guys think?

There are people that only use cocaine occasionally. Does that downgrade it as a harmful substance? Cocaine is safe if it doesn't form a habit. About 1 in 5 people die from heart disease. It's a lot more serious than, "Oh no the kids will find something yummy to eat." It's more like, "The children are ingesting addictive and harmful substances without realizing it can be a major threat to their health."

Qu@ke
it depends on what kind of children we're talking about, children are usually controlled by parents and given things to eat by them. Bro, just because you have a low fat % doesn't mean your, 1) Healthy, 2) physically fit and active or 3) by any means in good condition. Alot of people are bron with a higher motabolism and are naturally skinnier, however this can change over time. You would see more "healthy" people around 8-9% body fat, although it also does depend on their lifestyle OT: In terms of kids eating it to much, the parents need to take charge. Enough said. Whirr
This was originally a semi-mean response to someone saying something dumb. Now it's a friendly reminder that fast food is one of the things killing society as a whole. Why should any dangerous substance marketed to people on a massive scale be ignored as a threat? Meh, I don't get why people usually think of McDonald's when it comes to fast food. I have a very good fast food/take-away Indian snack and a Chinese snack in my city and they're both awesome. Like you said, if you eat McDonald's everyday, then it might result in obesity or death, but it won't happen to everyone who goes there once in a while. In terms of the whole health discussions...it's shocking sometimes, but I don't understand why some newspaper articles, reports etc. try to look like they're sooo concerned with our youth's health while they probably aren't. The backside of having a high obesity rate in a society is that you see obese people and it would be really bad if there wasn't enough food on earth, but with all the waste we're throwing away, I don't think we do. It's more a matter of distribution. Logically thinking...it isn't that horrible actually because we have too many people on this planet anyway. But don't quote me on that, that's not my opinion and trust me, I'm not going to look away when someone has cancer and just say "blergh, better that humanity disappears anyway". But the whole concern looks either like huge altruism or concern trolling to me, because it isn't going to change someone's health if s/he nabs on 100% organic, wholesome foods while everyone else eats fast food every single day. EDIT: Btw, I thought we all eat some fast food everyday because aren't processed stuff, microwave, pizza (unless it's selfmade) and all the ready-made things or things in bag that you throw into your mouth inbetween also fast food?:/
Î’yakuya
WTF is with the exact scaling of your total body fat? Are you trying to exclude that you are fat in sizing terms?
