byak Posted June 27, 2011 Report Share Posted June 27, 2011 So Pokemon TCG looked really fun so I'm gonna like proxy a deck or something see if I'd stick with it. 20 Pokemon 4/2/3 Ampharos (2 Ampharos/1 Ampharos Prime) [HS] 2/3 Lanturn Prime [Unleashed] 3 Plusle [Unleashed] 3 Minun [Unleashed] 22 Trainers 4 Pokemon Collector 4 Pokemon Communication 4 Rare Candy 4 Professor Oak's New Theory 2 Professor Elm's Training Method 2 Copycat 2 Dual Ball 18 Energy 18 Lightning Energy I was going to originally make something with Emboar, but as I was looking through the HS cards I came across Mareep, which generates a shitload of energy on the board, which seems like an interesting concept, since I can open Collector to search for as many Mareeps as I want and boost the output from Static Electricity. And then if I had a Rare Candy I would be able to make Ampharos' Thunder almost instantly live, which is 80 damage on the board. So I was looking for cards to go with the deck, and I saw Lanturn Prime. Lanturn is Lightning, which matches Ampharos' typing, and its attack gains +10 for each Lightning on the board. So with a standard Collector Static play it would be 110 damage minimum, which OHKOs most pokemon. Plusle and Minun are used in the deck because Plusle is draw power and Minun calls for your Mareeps.
