Once per turn, when the effect of a face-up "Ice Barrier" monster you control (except "Nevada, Ranger of the Ice Barrier") is activated: Draw 1 card. Fixed OCG, I think. I'd further suggest that you make the "draw a card" effect optional and more in line with Artemis'. I'm not convinced that Miracle Synchro Fusion is what Barriers need to be good, but for what it is this is pretty awesome. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Why? If you make it optional, it could even miss the timing, and since this is not something that lends itself to a loop, drawing your entire deck, I don't see a point in making it optional. And Artemis' effect is, unlike this card's, a continuous one that draws immediately after a Counter Trap resolves. If it was a Trigger effect, it wouldn't draw a single card because the effects of Effect Monsters can only be Spell Speed 2 at maximum. This one on the other hand just draws after the chain with the effect resolves (which will be immediately because your opponent can't chain to the effects you use *troll*).
I'm not convinced that Miracle Synchro Fusion is what Barriers need to be good, but for what it is this is pretty awesome.
Well, their Synchros are usually boss enough to shine, and General Rush will still be better, but teching in a Miracle Synchro Fusion or 2 can't really hurt, can it? You're right, I doubt it would find any competetive use, but I think more Archetypes deserve their Synchro Fusions, they're usually freaking awesome Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
My philosophy is that cards should be made to make decks better, but fair enough.
How about inventing new ones, or help the forgotten ones? This game is still not all about winning by any means necessary you know Ice Barriers (at least most of them) were constructed to be a defensive orientated archetype that puts ice in your opponent's plays wherever they can. But let's be honest, the only (almost) pure Ice Barrier deck that can be played Tier 2 - 3 is General Rush... I wouldn't call that defensive, it's just a slightly worse version of Frognarchs. This one is like the Psychic Synchro Fusion, Ultimate [s]Ass[/s] Axon Kicker: It fits in every deck that runs Ice Barriers and only requires you to trade in one or two cards from your Main Deck at max. As a reward, you get a 2800 ATK beater, Special Summon power for the slower decks and quite a bit of potential draw power. It's not the best card around, and no deck currently in the upper Tiers will play it, but Ice Barriers may find it worth to toy around with. Simping For Hina Posted July 7, 2011 Report Share Posted July 7, 2011 I hate those comments ^. Oh well, I might not be too familiar with Ice Barriers, I find this fast and quite useful on many situations. Just, what is the point of Ice Barriers? If I know that, then I can actually give better feedback on it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Most of them concentrate on restricting the opponent's choices (Medium: Only 1 S/T per turn; General Raiho: Negate Monster effects unless they discard a card; Defender: Cannot attack with monsters higher than 1600 ATK... things like that), but the best known Ice Barriers, the Synchro Monsters, are just devastating and don't really fit into canon with the rest of the archetype. Also, the strongest 2 non-Synchro Monsters, General Gantala and General Grunard, concentrate on spamming Ice Barriers in a slow, but constant pace, mostly to fuel the effects of the others. This fits mostly in the restriction area, but mainly should give them another toy to Special Summon. Just another option for the basic Ice Barrier ideas.
New Blade Knight: While you have 1 or fewer cards in your hand, this card gains 400 ATK. If this is the only monster you control, negate the effects of Flip Effect Monsters it destroys by battle. Clues: No colon, no semicolon = no chain. Both of these effects are Continuous, so Blade Knight never starts a Chain. Which means, among other things, that you cannot use something like Divine Wrath on him.
Can you please stop trying to insult me? I've given my reasons for why I think it should be changed, but I've also said that it's fair enough if you don't want to change it. I made Frogenerals just after Gantala was released in the OCG, they're solid Tier 2. Anyway, I wouldn't play a win more card like this in an already pretty inconsistent Deck. Also, I don't see how this;
My philosophy is that cards should be made to make decks better,
conflicts with this;
How about inventing new ones, or help the forgotten ones?
but w/e. On most forums I've been on, people are usually civil to those who're trying to help them. Fair enough. If you create a new Deck that is generally good against most Decks in the meta, but has a bad matchup against an old Deck (e.g. Infernities vs. Macro) then you've made that old Deck better.
