How much interest is there in Yugioh fics that don't relate to any of the series?

I'm asking this because I am currently going through the list of English language Yu-Gi-Oh fan fictions posted (so far only K through to T rated) on fanfiction.net in order to compile a list of all the ones not related to any of the series for those who are into that sort of thing as they are hard to find as the author cannot specify that it is that sort of story, therefore one cannot easily search for them using the search function.
I personally think there is too much of this shipping (some of it unrealistic) but especially yaoi and of course the dreaded "Mary Sue" and prefer custom fics or those based around the monsters themselves. Since I am only going through the Yugioh section (meaning not GX, 5Ds or Zexal) I miss out most of the boring stories about duel academy.

Here is the list so far: http://www.fanfiction.net/community/YuGiOh_fan_fictions_with_original_character_casts/93620/
If you see your story on the list and want it removed please send me a message. If you know of a story that should be added to the list then please also let me know, although make sure it's in the Yugioh section (meaning not GX, 5Ds or Zexal) because if it isn't then it can't be added to the list as the list can only pertain to one category.
I have also created a forum for the discussion of such stories and I hope to give advice to aspiring authors, although I won't link to it since I don't want to be seen as advertising. If you want a link please send me a message.

I only like non-series/spin off if it is EXTREMELY well written, if not I'm not interested. And there's very tiny chance I would read it anyway..

While I understand where you're coming from people seem to have different perceotions of what is "well written" and I do think it is hard to define what is "extremely well written" given peoples' vastly varying preferences. There are those who read a script (with the author often under the illusion what they have written is a story) and will review it saying something along the lines of 'keep up the good work' or 'this is pretty good' which I think is absurd.
Another example would be that, all of the reviews of my own fan fiction are positive but that doesn't mean you'll think it is well written. I did get a A grade for my creative writing and I do make sure my work is proofread by having it read aloud using some software I have but that doesn't mean to say you will find it a good read even though I'm trying my utmost since I know chapters aren't a 5 or even 10 minute job. While I have tried to develop a compelling storyline I know I have trouble with openers and knowing where to start so it could be hard to keep the reader's attention.
I have stayed away from the typical anime main character, which I don't like in any case (so people like Ash Ketchum and Jaden Yuki), and subconsciously made the main character like Hiro from Gundam Wing, or in other words Kai from Beyblade. I have also noted certain trends throughout the series which I feel I need to keep to (but people usually ignore when writing their stories), so for example a Kuriboh monster in the deck of a main or supporting character, the signature monster of the main character with 2500 ATK and their rival's at 3000 ATK, at least 1 Rock-Type monster in the deck of the main character and a "yu" sound somewhere in the name of the main character and I'm sure there are others I need to stick to.

In the future I do hope to write a story about Marauding Captain (my favorite card) though.

My friend is writing a YGO fic that's an original story; the only connection with the other series is the actual card game. There's some more of those on this site in the Fan Fic section like YGO Armageddon and YGO Dead Zone.

I understand there will be stories I am looking for on here, and on other sites such as Media Miner, but what I don't want to do is copy somebody else's work just for the sake of adding it to the list. The list merely meant to link to relevant stories. I know I could easily ask the author if they will post it onto fanfiction.net as it will also benefit them as they may get more reviews, but I'd rather not bother them. I also should probably read some stories on here too but I am currently writing my own and am subscribed to a number of stories already.

Some stuff are worth reading. Most, on any forum, are basically s***. Also, if you can write a good and original YGO fan fic, you should go for usual fantasy instead and publish a book or something.

My fan fic is not fantasy, it's more science fiction.
If I'm honest doubt I am good enough to get published, and people hoping to be published have to cope with a lot of rejection at first and I'm not sure if I could cope with that. Plus, if even I am good enough to be published there would copyright issues to overcome as it's a fan fiction. I do have other stories on fictionpress but really, I've never actaully thought about getting published. The chance is so small that it's not going to be worth the effort. Anyone who believes I can rise from obscurity is a fool.

I see well written as well developed plot, and characters, no cliches.

Hmmm ok, so I'm assuming you mean that only terms of completely original stories but correct me if I'm wrong, isn't most Yu-Gi-Oh Yaoi full of clichés and is poorly written as most of it is simply stuff young fangirls pump out without much thought gone into it (I have actually read some in case you were wondering because people do not always put the proper warnings on their stories). You did say you like Yaoi in your previous post and I can only assume you like the Yu-Gi-Oh variety and there are an awful lot of stories about Yami and Yugi or Marlk and Bakura out there. I know there has to be some well written Yaoi out there, but from my experience there isn't (though I must confess I only visit the Yu-Gi-Oh section of fanfiction.net).
I hate clichés too, that's why I steer clear of most Yu-Gi-Oh fan fictions because it's usually the same old parings or if it isn't then there's often a "Mary Sue" in it. I don't believe my story any, although as the author I'm likely to be slightly biased in favor of my story. The reoccurring issue I see with original fan fictions is starting the story off with a duel or tournament without proper oversight but the first duel on my story doesn't occur until the second chapter (which is at least 2,400 words into the story, it is only a friendly however). Despite all that I've said I don't think it would be enough to entice you to read my story but I thank you for your clarification.
