heres a deck that i'm pretty sure is going to be mocked, but if you can improve it, then tell me

Recommended Posts

well i pretty much looked at the new lost sanctuary structure and thought i'd like to put a twist in it. then i remembered when i had a cloudian deck that i really needed sanctuary in the sky, so i put them together and came up with this.

cirrostratus and acid cloud can beatdown your opponents cards, until you get hyperion.

cloudian turbulence can summon smoke balls which can be great synchro/xyz material.

cloudian squall and cloudian storm dragon can keep the cloudians stocked with counters.

and earth and jupiter are essential in any deck that rns hyperion.

Thing is- the GOOD cloudians are Storm Dragon, Turbulence and Smoke Ball, so let's try an Elephant's gift engine...
-3 Squall
-2 Acid Cloud
-2 Cirrostratus
+3 White Elephant's Gift
-1 Zeradias
-1 Sanctuary
+3 Agent that gets out Shine Ball
+3 Shine Ball

all those changes kind of defeat the point of this deck.

Which is what, exactly? Just using Cloudians with Sanctuary + Agents?
That hasn't changed.

The deck just doesn't work efficiently. Hyperion is so good because he can easily be summoned and then pop cards. You're basically forcing him to pop cards by RFG'ing his Summon fodder. More then half the time you're going to have a dead 2700 beater on the field that will do nothing else. Might as well make this Cloudian Monarchs. Turbulence (Sanct lets you Normal Summon Turbulence and wait a turn) summons Smoke Balls for tribute fodder and Fishborg material for Formula/high level synchs. When Turbulence summon all three Smoke Balls (easy to do with Squall and Storm Dragon) you can get a Monarch and an 8/7/6 star Synchro out. Plus, Storm Dragon is great for Tribute Fodder as well.

I don't get why you're not running Moray. It's a +0 and you just exchange Monsters you don't want for new cards. Salvage is great for getting bad Turbulence and Storm Dragon

Acid Cloud is terrible. You draw it without any Cloudians on the field and it's basically dead draw, as is Cirrostratus. Storm Dragon is basically like Hyperion for Agents. It's very easy to summon and you can easily abuse Turbulence with it. It's an amazing card for Cloudians and help them pull of the mass synchro'ing they can do. It should always be run in threes. I don't really have things to change, as I don't want to rush into changing it to Cloudian Monarchs/Cloudian OTK, but here's a sample decklist for the monarchs.

3 Caius
3 Raiza
2 Mobius
3 Storm Dragon
3 Turbulence
3 Smoke Ball
3 Zeradias
2 Fishborg

3 Sanctuary
2 Moray
2 Cloudian Squall
2 MST
2 Salvage
2 PoD
1 Dark Hole
1 Monster Reborn

3 Royal Decree
