Each player can only use the effect of "Spore" once per Duel. disc. Also can somebody please tell me why nobody has edited this thing to look like anything ranging from a Pokeball to Pacman? Granted, Thunder Dragon is also a free +1, as is Volcanic Shell, but this is a free tuner on the field for the low cost of RFG-ing a monster. Card should be banned, and take Glow Up Bulb with it. If we're going to ban every card that could possibly create any advantage the game isn't worth playing, if you're going to ban spore and bulb there's about 30 other cards you could ban because they create advantage.
