TRUE RULER^(Imper.Di )
Being a nerd is fine, there's no shame in it, HOWEVER I find that many of my fellow players revolve their lives around the game. They create decks to win and often tear down decks that were made for FUN with the object of winning to be a lesser role. What's the point in playing if everyone else wails on your deck because it's not built around the someone else's strategy? Mega-nerds these days... Attain an appreciable standard of life, Live it, and clear the zit mountains from your face XD
Vough
1. There's a difference between a FUN deck and a BAD deck2. No one tears it down because it's built on a different strategy, however, 99% of the time, that deck that is being torn down is bad. We try to help but when the deckmaker outright lies and says that their deck is amazing, wins tourneys, blah blah blah, crap, then we know that you either are a terrible player or never actually played the deck in real life.3. Everyone gets to live by their own standards. They live their life and have a hobby? Are you saying it's not okay to have a hobby?4. I hope you feel great calling people Mega-Nerds. It totally makes you look better and makes me want to respect you and think you're right and st00f.

Grunt Issun
So you're saying that playing to win CAN'T be fun? You're saying that winning isn't fun? They make a deck that wins because they have fun when they win. Simple as that.
hexcalibrate
Being stupid, Is against the rules.(thank you shard, this has helped me alot) i admit, i have made some crappy decks and when people tried to help i was a stubborn b*st*rd and just insulted that, and i apologize to those people. but still they are trying to help in their own way, so don't do what i did and just b*tch at people who are trying. (once again people, don't just neg people because they have a opinions no matter how bad they may be)
Chaos Dralcax
Fun Deck:Uses monsters that look cool regardless of in-game worthPacked with a duelist's favorite cardsEasily degenerates into a HOLY PILE OF RANDOM BATMAN but who cares Win DeckUses good cards from no more than 2 archetypesPlenty of supportA well-thought strategy to go with itMany favorite cards are left out because they adversely affect synergy (e.g. if your favorites are Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon and Light and Darkness Dragon, you would only include one of them)Constantly changing even if no new cards are obtained My first deck was a fun deck. I was just entering Yugioh and didn't have many cards, so it wound up a HOLY PILE OF RANDOM BATMAN with the monsters being Minar, Slot Machine, Grand Tiki Elder, Great Angus, Hane-Hane, Fire Manipulator, Roulette Barrel, Invader of the Throne, Labyrinth Wall, Giant Soldier of Stone, and Buster Blader. I don't even know if there were 40 cards in it or not, I just put in favorites until I was satisfied. I didn't even know how to play then. My second deck is a win deck. It is an Ancient Gear Deck. The Machine Re-Volt Structure Deck provided Monsters and support cards. It eventually grew a strategy, jump-started by me getting Geartown and Z-ONE. I don't tear a deck down, unless it's a starter or structure deck, I just improve the versataility. It's silly that a strategy should be based on another. If you duel and keep improving your deck, out of chaos will come strategy, like atoms coming together to form molecules, but first, you need to collect the right ones. 六兆年と一夜物語
Who heard of people who don't enjoy playing a game to win? I mean, how can a person be a pro if they don't thoroughly enjoy the game?
Hɑrdy
Lol, I don't get why people are negging this guy for having an opinion. In my own opinion being competitive is fun and winning is fun. Why? Because it shows at the end of it all you played a good game and if you lose, so what? The idea of the game is mainly to improve your deck upon losing, so do that. /Speech. Chaos Dralcax
^a fun deck something that can have a theme and can win. Like Shapesnatch OTK or Red-Eyes fusion.Well, that's a win deck, unless some important cards are banned (e.g. Yata-Garasu), then it automatically becomes a fun deck, since you can't use it in Advanced Format. Tickle Me Emo
I didnt read the entire topic nor the entire first post, so I might repeat something said. Anyway. Guest PikaPerson01
As long as I live, I don't believe I will ever understand the logic behind posting a deck, getting told it's terrible, and then lashing out against those who commented on it. I mean, not that I'm some super amazing deck builder or something, I'm pretty damn awful at it. I just don't understand the "lashing out" part. "Your worst threats aren't normal summons in this meta, so something like Trap Hole wouldn't work so well. You should use Bottomless Trap Hole instead."Sound advice. "lol, ur deck is bad. quit the game'Not as helpful, but thanks for the free bump. Honestly, instead of doing the knee jerk "NO IT ISN'T!" ask the people to explain why it's bad. =\
