The number of dead people is 94, if I'm not mistaken. Couldn't find a good English article with deepgoing details...

Biggest thing to happen in Scandinavia in many years.

Discuss.

The media is actually blaming video game like MW2, and you won't believe it: WoW for this.

Why?

Cause the shooter said so.

Serioulsy, it was more racial and religion based so why can't the media say it's those reasons?

Owait, it would offend people.

Then again, blamining it on all on video games offends me.

I wonder.

We make all the fuss about violent video games, yet we don't do much about things like this.

"Jews that support multiculturalism today are as much of a threat to Israel and Zionism (Israeli nationalism) as they are to us. So let us fight together with Israel, with our Zionist brothers against all anti-Zionists, against all cultural Marxists/multiculturalists." - the shooter.

@vulgaris: i think he's trying to , um, threaten or, intimidate, the governments, like set an example of what he'll do

Judging by what I´m hearing about the bloodbath in Norway, i think my opinion can be summed up as this.

I have no respect at all for the delusional and racist coward of a shooter that would mercilessly slaughter kids just as an attempt to get some kind of point across.

Anders behring breivik, you deserve to burn in hell for this.

I´m not suprised but insulted that media would even mention details of a Facebook account under the shooters name, set up as I understand AFTER they arrested him and denied him any connections to the outside world in fear of him using it as a "podium" to voice his opinions.

One thing that would make me laugh my ass off however is if it someday is found out that a murderer (mass or not) didn´t play violent videogames, didn´t listen to rock, in short, didn´t do anything the media just LOVES to bring up to piss off gamers and people who listen to rock because it would prove those things doesn´t make murderers out of people.

[s]O wait, the media would just find someway to "prove" it´s more common that they are murderers if they do previously mentioned things[/s]

God my heart is in pain for the families of the dead.T_T

But there are a lot of things that really confused/scared the hell out of me. How can a single guy manage to slaughter so many people during one hour without...getting interrupted or anything? I don´t want to come over like trying to blame the police forces for being lazy because I don´t know what happened there, but seriously, you can shoot freely during one hour? 90 people?? That makes me doubt that it was just one person...

Also, the media are talking about anti-mutlicultural reasons and the whole going against Muslims thing, but why did he go and kill young people at a youth camp? Where there weren´t even Muslim children, or just a few of them, I don´t know? I read that the youth camp belongs to the Worker Party of Norway, but if you want to make a "revolution in society" and hunt down Muslims and strangers...why do you go to a random youth camp where there aren´t even (m)any of them?<_<

Seriously, you must be REALLY out of your head, either that or there were more people.:/

Anders Behring Breivik could be jailed in one of the world's most progressive prisons, where inmates enjoys cells equipped with flat screen televisions, minifridges and designer-style furniture.

Halden Fengsel prison was opened last by King Harald V and is home to some of Norway's most hardened criminals, including murderers and rapists.

The jail is spread over 75 acres of woodland just outside Oslo and facilities include a sound studio, jogging trails and a two-bedroom house separate from the main facility where convicts can stay with their families during overnight visits.

Guards move around the prison unarmed and often play sports or eat meals with the men they are tasked with watching. Half of the prison staff are women, a policy based on research which shows a female presence induces a less aggressive atmosphere.

In a far cry from the brutalist set up of British or American prisons, there is even a "kitchen laboratory" where inmates can take specialist cooking courses.

Speaking at the opening of the jail last year, governor Are Hoidal said: "In the Norwegian prison system, there's a focus on human rights and respect.

These kind of things are always planned.

Something similar happened on Brazil at the start of the year. Guy went to a school and killed 14 girls. Then suicided himself.

Oh yeah, I think I heard about that.

I can't comprehend how people can so casually kill so many.
