Mysty
I tried an Archenemy EDH game once. CG ran Godo EDH (a deck based on searching equipments and inflicting general damage with Godo, Bandit Warlord) and started at 60 life against my 40 Life EDH decks of Animar, Soul of Elements EDH (tons of creatures), my Zedruu the Greathearted EDH (hug/Proteus Staff combo/'drawback' enchantments mix), and Glissa, the Traitor EDH (Dredge engine with tons of recovery and utility artifacts). I don't remember the game play for play, but I do remember his first turn Introductions Are in Order searched out a Heartless Hidetsugu, which I thought little of at first. Later he schemed I Delight in Your Convulsions, setting all my Life Totals to 37 and his to 69. He drew into so much mana that he soon got out Godo, Lightning Greaves, and Sword of Feast and Famine. Having hooked up both equipment to Godo, he swung at my Glissa deck twice, bringing it to 27. He then put out Gratuitous Violence and Heartless Hidetsugu and hooked Lightning Graves to Heartless Hidetsugu. I pointed out that it will bring all odd life totals will go to 1 and that an even total will hit 0. Noting that, he ended his turn. The next turn, my Zedruu deck used All is Dust. Heartless Hidetsugu brought everyone to 1. Unfortunately, having no creatures, I ended my turn with a strong defense. His turn came and he schemed I Call on the Ancient Magics. My Animar deck brought Triskelion to my hand and the other two decks brought other important cards to my hand (I don't have direct burn). CG searched out Extraplanar Lens and Kumano, Master Yamabushi. He plays Extraplanar Lens, cast Kumano, and burned each of my three decks to death. Overall, I find it a fun format. It's usually more fun Super Villain Rumble with Planechase.
