Kirby's Visit to Pop Culture

After recently being able to convert Jay Jay's template to xcf format, I have been making cards again, in planning for my big return to RC set. In the meanwhile, I made three cards, based off the first 3 Bosses of Ocarina of Time:

Also, read the lore under the card. That's the correct one.

During your Standby Phase, if your opponent controls a face-up Plant-Type monster: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. Negate the effect(s) of all Plant-Type monsters in either player's Graveyard. During each of your End Phases, if your opponent does not control a face-up Plant-Type monster: take 1000 damage.

Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Must be Special Summoned by its own effect, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. During your Standby Phase, if your opponent controls 2 or more monsters and you control no monsters: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing Battle Damage to your opponent.

Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Must be Special Summoned by its own effect and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When a face-up card you control is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard by an opponent's card effect: Special Summon this card from your hand in face-up Defense Position. When this card is Special Summoned, Special Summon up to 3 "Bari Tokens" (Thunder-Type/WATER/Level 5/ATK 500/DEF 2100). This card cannot be destroyed by card effects while you control a face-up "Bari Token".

The random 1000 damage seems a bit off. However, I would find these kinds of cards really useful against a 'Fortune Lady' structured deck if only it wasn't for just plant types. I mean, how many opponents do you know that use a deck full of plant types which is the only time this card would come in use.

Instead of:

Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Must be Special Summoned by its own effect and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways".

How about:

"This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by it's own effect." - You see, if the card states it can only be special summoned via it's own effect then in a duel the controller will have to oblige to that. There is no need for the "other ways" bit.

The random 1000 damage is more of a representative of Gohma being a parasite. Also, http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Ivy_Shackles and http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/DNA_Surgery

Fair enough on the first one, but still; the likely hood of drawing them even with 3 in a deck of 40-60 is unlikely. As for the second one; you basically stole a section of another monsters effect?

Since Gohma is extremely dangerous to use without mauling yourself to death because of her effect, you should probably buff her a little to balance it out more, a powerful card with a dangerous effect might make it more worth to send it out, as it can easily be beaten. But otherwise, Gohma is useless against a deck that doesn't use plants.

King Dodongo is a pretty balanced card, but because of new OCG rules, you need to change the tem "piercing damage."

Barinade is a pretty balanced card, but to make it a little less OP, have it reduced to two tokens instead of three. It has enough Defense as it is.

But anyway, good cards overall. I get the feeling you will be making cards of the other 7 bosses.
