Orphan-Goddess
Hope I'm posting in the right forum. ^^I have a couple of cards I'm considering using for a deck, but wanted to get some ideas of what you though might be the best way to use them. The Cards Are :Embodiment of ApophisRaviel, Lord of Phantasms If "Embodiment" is destroyed as a monster card, it still gets to stay on the field as a continous trap card doesn't it? For the question, Apophis does not stay on the field when he'sDestroyed, he goes to the grave (where he count as a trap, sono Premature / CotH). I wouldn't advise a Deck with Raviel and Apophis, Raviel Needsfiends, not reptiles. Apophis goes good in Monarchs (I guess)and also helps in Calculator Decks. MasterOfMagicians
If you want to use Embodiment of Apophis, my suggestion would be to unleash them as a surprise on your opponent. Not too many people are expecting those cards in other's decks. First make sure you have a harpie's feather duster or something that destroys all of your opponent's spell and trap cards (not both of yours). Set your Apophis's on the field, next turn destroy your opponent's spell and trap cards to eliminate any problems from them. Activate all that you have (preferrably 2 or more). Immediately sacrifice them (they are special summons) and bring out a more powerful tribute monster to deal heavy damage into your opponent right off the bat. If you use cards like Trap Master, or anything that allows you to bring traps back from the graveyard, you can use them to bring your apophis's back again and again (book of moon will help flip the Trap Master back face-down). Easy way to bring out uber-powerful monsters, other than offering them from your hand and using monster reborn or premature burial (call of the haunted, etc.). Harpies is Banned Set your Apophis's on the field' date=' next turn destroy your opponent's spell and trap cards to eliminate any problems from them. Monster Reborn is banned. Although Trap Monsters are probably pretty skilled in todays meta. There an easy summoning for Monarchs
renzin
Raviel, Lord of Phantasms its easy to summon if you are running a Fiend Deck and since you like cards like Embodiment of Apophis you could use cards like Bark of Dark Ruler to protect your monsters and decrease your opponents life points and some cards to increase yours. some monsters to quickly summon Raviel areMetabo GlobsterGiant GermFiend's Sanctuary

Umbra
Embodiment works better with Uria. Activate 3 of them, attack for 4800 damage, then summon Uria during Battle Phase, attack for 3000 more damage.
Orphan-Goddess
Hey, guys! Sorry I haven't replied here in awhile. I get caught up role-playing and ... ^^ Thanks for the advice. I'm thinking I should go with a Fiend deck, as they are actually my favorite monsters, next to Zombies. Which means I can do without Apohphis for now, but I would still like to use Raviel, since I just love him! Dark Necrofear is also another favorite, so I may end up using that as well. If you guys have any tips on using Dark Necrofear, please let me know! It's much appreciated! Thanks!
CrabHelmet
Remember that Dark Necrofear is Semi-Nomi, not Nomi. That means that, once it has been sent to the graveyard after it has been on the field, you can Special Summon it from the graveyard by another card's effect. So use cards like Monster Reborn, Premature Burial, and Doom Shaman to recycle it. Also, since its Summoning Condition removes 3 monsters from play, you could use something like Dimension Fusion or Return from the Different Dimension to bring them back and attack for game.
