Why WIND or DARK? They're not really connected to each other, except though Dark Simorgh, so it seems odd that the card would work for them and them alone.

The card is just a quick-play polymerisation with less use. It's OK, but most decks that fuse either have options that don't cost so many cards from the hand and field, have fusion cards with better effects, or contact fuse, so won't bother with this. If they really need a quick-play fusion, there's always Super Polymerisation.

A nice idea, but just doesn't sell itself as being more useful than other fusion cards.

Well on the one hand, it's faster than Polymerization in that you can attack, then play it, then fuse during the same Battle Phase, etc. The DARK and WIND theme I was going with here is mainly for some other Fusion monsters I'm currently in the process of working on, and perhaps it'll make more sense at that point.
