J-Max
I've been looking more into these monsters and am a little confused as how they are Summoned. I know that monsters are "Attached to the Xyz to Summon it but some of the Summoning condtions seem a little strange tbh. I always thought that it was only in Multiples so say 2 Level 4's to get a Level 8 or 3 Level 3's to get a Level 9 http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Thunder-End_Dragon This monster requires 2 Level 8 Normals and is still a Level 8? So mind boggling XD
Mugendramon
Those are not Levels.
Time Psyduck
The stars on Xyz monsters are not it's level. They're a rank, which isn't the same thing. Xyzs do not have a level at all - they're unaffected by effects that work on levels, such as Gravity Bind. The rank is equal to the level of the monsters used to Xyz summon it, so a Rank 4 needs level 4's, and the rank 8 needs level 8's. If they were added together, they wouldn't be able to create anything that used high level materials, because they'd run out of space.
J-Max
I only just got used to Synchros lol. So Xyz's have "Ranks"? Not being affected by Level based cards such as Gravity Bind. Hmmm starting to get the hang of it a little more. If a Attached card is removed it goes to the Grave right? What happens if the Xyz is destroyed first? DO all monsters go to the Grave. Sorry for the questions but I want to learn these things before getting left behind again XD
Mugendramon
You can always use the wikia anyways, just saying.
Jolta
So basically, to Xyz Summon a monster, you require 1 or more monsters of the same Level. Next, you use these monsters to Xyz summon a Xyz whose rank matches their level. These monster do not get sent to the Graveyard, they stay on the field on the same spot as the Xyz, to be used for support. You may detach Xyz materials to activate Xyz effects. Should you do that, the Xyz material monster remains on the field on another monster space. I'm a lil' messeh too. Hope this helps.
Time Psyduck
Materials detached for effects are sent to the grave. If the Xyz monster leaves the field in any way (destruction, banishing, returning to extra deck), any materials still attached to it are sent to the graveyard.
