evilhorus
OK, as we all know, sangan is freaking awesome (no s***) But, what if it gets banned? Will Tour Guide see as much play? Will some decks lose consistency? Discuss Sangan and the effect it might have on the Meta if it gets hit. CDDRodrigo
Sangan is the best Fiend of all times. He's been around from since the beggining, too. He's a bro. He can't go.

Its been around since day 1. It would be kind of sad to see it go.
I won't be mourning the loss of an easily abusable, searchable and recyclable searcher who can get probably 80% of most decks' monsters to the hand. Also, I'm sceptical of the theory that tour guide will still be a staple even after sangan's ban. The banning of sangan would have a major impact on how effective tour guide is, and it wouldn't have many decent targets.

Superdoopertrooper
It's been established that Guide is good in Dark Worlds (regardless of sangan's existence) but outside of Dark World, I still can't see it being a true staple without sangan. There's the Gold Sarc > Guide > Leviair > Profit combo, but you have to devote a fair bit of deck space to reliably achieve that combo and I doubt that all decks will be able to make space to accommodate it. Superdoopertrooper
actually tour guide is better because it's live on turn 1
Monster Reborn is live from the very first moment a monster enters the graveyard.
Should have wrote an inb4. - Sam's would always rather go for Shi En than summon a tour guide and get out a flimsy beatstick. - Heroes would rather search and summon stratos/alius. I'm not denying Guide has it uses, Heroes can use it to make levial which can revive miracle fusion materials and then further fuel Zero set-ups, but the point is that it's not as if the deck must play it. It's more or less a splashable engine that can make a variant.
Black W Mage
Heroes only use 4 monsters, Stratos and Alius. They don't use any other monsters because they rather search and summon stratos/alius. though I'ma be honest, I don't like the idea of Tour Guide in Sams or GKs. It's a beat down deck, and tour guide can be a liability for it. Drawing multiple copies of it would be enough to send shivers down a Hero players spine.
ITT: you will always be able to do those things
If you have played with or against samurai's, you would know how incredibly consistent a first turn Shi En is. Decks are designed to do certain things, putting tour guide in any random deck can and will interfere with it's main strategy in many cases.
