Dwarven King
Contrary to what most of you will think based on the title and the types of threads recently locked in this section, this is a serious thread. It's subject? Corruption found throughout the world. Either in politics, school, relationships (...is that even possible? O.o), positions of power, etc. Basically corruption as a whole. So...discuss corruption, where you have seen it at, and ways you think it can be fixed. BEGIN DISCUSSION!!!! If Welche or Hardy post something idiotic that could very well lead to getting this thread locked, just ignore them and report them...or wait for me to notice it and report them. This is a serious thread and it will remain so. DK COMMANDS IT!!!!

Rias Gremory
Colombia for a start I guess. Its where I was born and I loved it but it was corrupted D: For an instance, the Guerrilla (very dangerous group who kidnap people and keep them in the jungle.) Forcing siblings of the person to pay a lot of money or the kidnapped person would be killed. Drug dealers too and there's a little mafia. I really don't think there's a way to fix it since the current president doesn't give a sh*t about it D: Colombia is an awesome country but if they could fix at least the Guerrilla problem, it could be the perfect country. oh btw don't worry about welche. he was post-banned for 30 days thank god

O.o On a more serious note, I agree with both of you. The American Government *looks to see if he is being watched* is corrupted to an extent. As for the Mafia and stuff in Columbia, I don't really think that could be fixed even if the President cared. Look at all the other countries that have leaders that at least half care. They still have Drug Dealers, Gangs, etc.
Christian Exodia
The Libyan Leader. "Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely." Is what I have heard. When given complete rule, most will go mad. It takes a Strong Ruler to overcome it. The German Government in the 30's and 40's was Corrupted. MAJORLY.

Christian Exodia
True. The bombings did halt progress in the Early War. But when America joined in... they pulled the Allies together to plan. It wasn't just us, Britian, France, Spain and Italy in the Later War, to defeat Germany and its Allies. His Strategy turned on him, somewhat. If he hadn't been Nucking Futs in the later part in everything, he might have actually turned himself around and attempted to instead rebuild "The Third Reich" into a Somewhat Peaceful Society, and not have himself killed. And we would be somewhat happy about it. New Allies.

Corruption is as human as greed- oh wait. Yeah, as long as a non-perfect system exists then people will continue to find exploits and use them to their advantage for power and wealth or even greater benefit. Its not often but sometimes people will go malum pro bono, evil for the sake of good.

Dark
A so-called perfect system would take into account that government officials are imperfect. The American Government No, pretty much every modern reigning class of any country is corrupt. No need to single out America when corruption is omnipresent in our world, especially because some government systems are more corrupt than we are. And when I say government systems, I'm also including government officials, so don't bitchfit at me.

Christian Exodia
But there is a such thing as not Corrupt but not perfect. Corrupt, by book definition- "Having or showing a willingness to act dishonestly in return for money or personal gain" as an Adjective. A just leader is not perfect, but not Corrupt. A leader fit for rule. We could say some of the older presidents (*Ahem* Abe Lincoln*Ahem*) were perfectly just leaders.

Only after we were attacked did we join in. 10 years ago, we joined in after being attacked in our own Country(Nobody has actually ever tried that before, well, since the Revolutionary War.) by a certain organization or two(But there were other ways to solve said crisis.
