Cloister
Cannot be Special Summoned. During the turn you Normal Summon this card: you cannot Special Summon Level 4 or lower monsters. This card cannot attack your opponent directly. shelds9
Looks great. Solid, balanced effect, a useful card. Is that image from your Archive? It looks great in a card!
Zigzix
I think not being able to attack directly is a little restrictive since there are cards like Gene-Warped Warwolf who only falls 100 ATK points short of this card but have no restrictions, if he can't attack directly maybe make it so he has a way of doing damage, otherwise this is a really good solid card with fairly decent defense to match his brutish attack. Cloister
I'll raise its ATK by 100. And I made the pic myself, first pic I've ever done in PS, so didn't think it would be good, just wanted to use it in a card since I'm a big fan of the creator of the render. It's not in my archive. T3RA PROWL3R
You should change the last effect to: "When this card Attacks your opponent directly, this card's ATK becomes 1000 during the Damage Step" Or something like what Submarineroid does. Cloister
I want it to not being able to attack directly. That's why I put it there...
Varionius
Very nice, but pretty simple, I wold put this in my deck. 8/
T3RA PROWL3R
Then it doesn't do anything besides elimination of set monsters. There are few 4 Star Monsters that have higher ATK than this card.
Cloister
Raised its ATK to 2250.
T3RA PROWL3R
Eh, doesn't really help. Its the Effect, not the ATK. This makes my last statement even more agreeable.
Manpole
I think this card is perfectly balanced. You can still use him in a Synchro Summon because his effect only negates lvl 4 or lower monsters, once he is removed from the field for a synchro summon, special summon all the lvl 4's you want. As for it not being able to attack directly, that is perfectly fine, his attack is 2250 afterall. For the people who think this card should be able attack directly, to see if this card is useful, you don't have to compare it to other really great lvl 4's.... such as Gene-Warped Warwolf, compare it to Goblin Attack Force, Armor Exe, Black Veloci, and other level 4 monsters with over 1900 ATK. Also you have to look at the cards Type, dragons do not have a Gene-Warped Warwolf, so this works better in a dragon deck.
T3RA PROWL3R
Gene-Warped Warwolf is a Level 4 monster with over 1900 ATK. Dragons have a TON of monsters with over 1900 ATK and easily exploitable effects. Axe Dragonute: You can use a card to keep it in Attack Mode. Like Final Attack Orders. Manpole
I never said Gene-Warped didnt have 1900 ATK... I'm having trouble finding more than a handful of powerhouse level 4 or lower Dragon monsters (every type has plenty with over 1900 ATK, but how many of them are level 4 or lower?) Axe Dragonute has less ATK than Bruteflame and to be effective as you said, needs to be combined with a trap card.
T3RA PROWL3R
It can still attack directly and you can Special Summon as much as you want when it is Summoned. Cave Dragon and Rare Metal Dragon. Rare Metal Dragon is pretty much the Exact Opposite of this card, except with more ATK.
Manpole
Cave Dragon and Rare Metal Dragon... thats 2 cards. Both of which I think are worse than Brufeflame. (2 is not a TON) Yes, Gene can attack directly and you can spec summon lvl 4s that turn. But also, Bruteflame can kill it. And did I mention, Gene isn't a Dragon type? So it could not help a Dragon themed deck. (unless you want to take out potential support for dragons)
T3RA PROWL3R
Actually, yes it could. It gives you a beatstick with no cost. There ARE cards that change monsters into Dragon-Types you know. Hey, but Guess what. Gorz can kill Bruteflame, and it is just as easy to summon.
Manpole
Yes, but those cards will just take up space in your deck, just for a Gene-Warped Werewolf? And yes, Gorz could kill Bruteflame, however, he cannot be Normal Summoned as easily as Gene or Bruteflame (no tribute, level 4's). Also, because of Bruteflames effect, you couldnt special summon Gorz lol. (cannot attack directly =p)
T3RA PROWL3R
Gorz isn't Level 4 or less.
Manpole
"...he cannot be Normal Summoned as easily as Gene or Bruteflame (no tribute, level 4's)." I know... I'm saying he cannot be Normal Summoned as easily as level 4 monsters, such as Gene or Bruteflame.
T3RA PROWL3R
He CAN'T be Normal Summoned. http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Gorz You could just not put anything down for 1 turn, then LET your opponent Attack you. You could essentially get 2 monsters from 1 Summon.
Cloister
Discussion. Great! Actually, he can be Normal Summoned. Except he doesn't gain his effect if you do.
T3RA PROWL3R
I guess. Its just not worth it, unless Royal Oppression is out or something.
