Ieyasu Tokugawa
I'll do my version of number tourney tomorrow if I feel like it. Though I'll have to credit Elemental Dragon, since I can use his tourney as a stepping stone for figuring out what to do and what not to do. (not saying it was bad, just the first one so not as good as it could've been, like letting Kokonoe join even though she couldn't even bring out her number at all)

evilfusion
Well, a fun tournament nonetheless. Coming in second is still impressive, considering what I was running.

evilfusion
Yeah, quite frankly, the finals was extremely anti-climactic. Whereas I crushed my previous opponents by countering all their plays, it never really was a case of them being unable to do anything, it was more that I was prepared for their every movement and could work right out of whatever bind they threw my way. It made the games fun to watch and play. In the last match, I just didn't have anything. He had strong moves and I was backed into a corner at all times with mediocre draws and simply couldn't gain any ground. I don't really know why the deck performed so badly. He seemed to have good counters to my plays and I had next to no counters. I'd love to see that decklist, though.

Dr. Cakey
So, the deck is basically 95% engine. Shouldn't you have 2 of each instead of 3?

evilfusion
Obviously the Extra deck is just bent out of shape due to the tournament, but it's a good guide to how to build a similar deck for my own amusement. Thanky.

evilfusion
Well, I knew maybe half of the cards the deck was supposed to use and just wanted something a little more complete to fill in the holes. Very rarely do you know every card in a person's deck by playing them once or twice.

And the winner of the Numbers Tournament is MERCURY! Contrary to my first belief, the Heart of the Cards decided that Evilfusion was being too much of a cheat, and so gave him mediocre cards at all times! On the other hand, Mercury had FANTASTIC draws and quickly put Evilfusion into a corner . . . . before crushing him! The duel was somewhat of an anticlimax because of this . . . . but what matters is that the guy who came out on top is MERCURY!
