The deck needs answers to trap negation cards, and Heavy is about the best card the deck has for that.

Graveyard of the Super Ancient Organisms is an AWESOME card.
Malevolent isn't that bad for the deck. Even though it seems that it should completely ruin the deck, remember that you attack with Xyz monsters, rather than Trap monsters. Usually when you go for an attack, the S/T card zone is empty. And yes. Everyone loved GotSAO.

(Dark hole has no effect)
I'm just thinking that only torrential and MST would really affect them, as they would all special summon themsleves during the opponent's End Phase, and all immediately turn into Xyz monsters during the 1st Main Phase. Also, I'm unsure on a ruling. If your opponent uses Solemn on a Contunuous Trap while Imperial Customs is on the field, the Trap would still be negated and destroyed, correct? Agro
Imperial Custom stops cards from being destroyed, it doesn't negate anything, so Solemn can't kill off Trap monsters. I tink.

It's good once you've used up your backrow stuff for Xyz/Uria. However, I'm mulling dropping it for a 3rd MST.
@First line: The deck oftentimes doesn't need to Xyz spam that much, if only because Custom + Trap Monster = ridiculous wall. And people only really run 3-4 cards that can hurt the custom lock (Heavy/2-3 MST) and even then Fake Traps are usually drawn/recovered by Mask before then. @Second line: That's something for the Q&A topic. Bringerofcake
The thing is, with a regular monster summoning, when the summon is negated, the monster does NOT count as being on the field. Something similar could be said for the activation of Spells and Traps. In any case, I've already put forth the question in Q&A. Should I drop Heavy for a 3rd MST? EDIT: Darkplant, u so NorCal
Bringerofcake
BUMP So, Solemn does work, but MST doesn't. Cool. Also, thinking about negging a Uria and Mask of Darkness. What to replace them with?
