CI.......

Haven't seen much CI's being posted these days.

Wih that said let us get to the piece;

Firstly; It's a nice piece, it has everything one would look for in a CI with a working color scheme.

Second; When one is creating a CI, one would mainly try and play it safe due to the fact that you make it for more than just personal gain, i.e; a CI is made with knowledge that more than one person will be actually using the piece. Therefor most artists decide to play it safe, from the looks of it you are one of those artists. I however like to take that extra risk, (I'm not trying to boast, i'm simply telling you of what I would do) this may due to the fact that I am mainly a tag maker, but it is also a good thing to do, experiment even if people do not like your products at first. Nice piece, but try and put more of an effort into the piece, consider it as a tag more than a CI.

Third: "consider it as a tag more than a CI"

What I mean by this, is that take in account things you would when creating tags.
ie; lighting, atmo, depth, flow, all of the things that make a tag.

There is room for much improvement, however there is progress here.

EDIT: WOOOOOOOOOOOW I typed far more than usual... Yeah that's it. Usually when I do this, it means I actually see potential. If it helps you progress than I will put time into helping you as much as I can.

Ahh another good thing about writing essays instead of posts, other people get to read them as well.

I've actually considered the idea of making a CI tutoring thread a LOOOOOOONNNNNNGGGG time ago, I may actually do so.

Anyway, another thing I forgot to mention is NOT to make the background more interesting than the actual focal. When you do this, the eye wanders around for a very long time and will have trouble finding the focal especially because you do not have proper lighting. This also ties in to the concept I was speaking about before in which I informed you to consider the piece as a tag.
