Gem-knights (as a whole)

Recommended Posts

looked at lolwikias definition of Gem-knight's playstyle made me laugh as they obvious don't know how to play them correctly XD

anways discussion the archtype as a whole.

my opinions on archtype:
Has a great amount of synergy with the cards
Searching is a breeze and fun to play.

Though i can't say how they would do in meta as i haven't ran into any metas deck with it (surpisingly).

with Sanyx outside of topaz OTK or GKs that run rabbit the vanilla gem-knights will not be seen that much probably

I have a red alert that goes off every time the word 'Fusion Spam' is used on any yugioh site. It must be in this topic somewhere. :D

I retreated into fusion to find something challenging that if you could master it - there must be some amount of 'skill' in there somewhere. Still haven't mastered it, but I certainly love playing it. Fusion is built like real life - there's a price to pay when you do an action that's like the FMA law of equivalent exchange. Except fusion is worse than that - it's a minus.

In a deck of 40 cards and X number of possible hand combinations throughout the game you have to find 3 exact cards to combine in a combo - that is very easily stopped or responded to - da ffffuuuuu????

Fusion is not like synchro - it's not cartoonishly broken and more fantasy than reality. More and more in this game it feels like Advanced TCG is actually Traditional TCG. For crying out loud we have Dark Hole, Reborn and BLS legal - Sorc is at 3 AND NO ONE EVEN CARES!!!!

Gem-knights are the love child of the bromance between Jaden and Jesse and who are we to judge them? The entire archetype is a fusion archetype (ok and XYz too) and it is being done right. Omni HEROs and Omni Knights based on attributes and types would be a force if we had 30 card extra decks.
