Some Synchro monsters require specific Tuners, so that ability is versatile. The monster is versatile as is because of its Type.

Copycar isn't a Tuner, this is a Tuner. They both serve a different purpose, mainly trying to destroy your opponents monster strongest monster, then use some effect to increase the ATK even more and attack. If it couldn't copy stats as well, it wouldn't be even remotely decent.

OT: Remove the last effect, it really isn't worth it.

Another plaguespreader replacement, and it can be used for a Junk Synchron replacement as well. I'm not gonna name all the DARK tuners that have synchros that specifically request them, but I can see some use for this.
