Max Darkness
Continuing my mission to make Geminis workable, this spills over to making Discard a feasable option once again. Enjoy. Sander
I can't even understand how these are supposed to make Geminis more...workable. They do not even support Gemini monsters as a whole. You should make support cards for the Gemini subtype as a whole, like Gemini Spark, not for individiual Geminis.
Kato_Zenamara
I can't even understand how these are supposed to make Geminis more...workable.
Maybe its supposed to mean that they're geminis, and they actually work, ya'know? Like they're playable? Anyway, the first two seem pretty straightforward. However, Alexa's effect is weird. Dicard 2 cards OR discard 1? Why not say up to 2? Or did you make a typo? Alewyn needs a Ritual Spell. Thats kinda how Rituals work. And her effect makes pretty much no sense. How are you supposed to discard cards facedown, if you're allowed to check your opponent's graveyard at any time? Maybe if you banished them facedown, but as it stands the effect just doesn't work. As a whole, the entire archetype has at least 1 effect per card that includes making your opponent discard 2 cards, at nearly no cost to you, or even to your gain. That just won't work. Lower it to 1, or make it a once-only activation. Thats simply TOO much discarding going on there.
ragnarok1945
normal yet ritual, don't see many of those "When this card destroys a monster by battle: Discard 2 random cards from your opponent's hand face-down" This part you may need an alternative, in case your opponent doesn't have that many cards in his/her hand
Max Darkness
I can't even understand how these are supposed to make Geminis more...workable. They do not even support Gemini monsters as a whole. You should make support cards for the Gemini subtype as a whole, like Gemini Spark, not for individiual Geminis.
The problem holding Geminis back currently, as I see it is their lack of either archetypes or just shared strategy. They span the Attributes and Types, and that is a problem. Expanding one of the monsters into an archetype is one way to narrow down the support to, in this case, Gemini, WATER and Aqua monsters (with possibly some Fusion support for 'Raptinus') As for the generic Gemini Support cards, they've been posted beforehand in other threads/sets:
Effect: Equip only to a Gemini Monster. * While equipped to a Normal Gemini Monster: The equipped monster gains 300 ATK for each Normal Gemini Monster you control and cannot be destroyed by battle by Effect Monsters. When the equipped monster destroys a monster by battle: You can discard 1 card from your opponent's hand face-down, until their End Phase. * While equipped to an Effect Gemini Monster: The equipped monster gains 300 ATK for each Effect Gemini Monster you control and inflicts Piercing Damage. When the equipped monster destroys a monster by battle: You can select 1 card your opponent controls; It cannot be used, until their End Phase. Effect: Select 1 Gemini Monster you control: It is treated as an Effect Monster, and gains its effect. Also, it can attack once more during the next Battle Phase, and during the End Step of that Battle Phase, banish it. Effect: Target a number of monsters your opponent controls equal to the number of Effect Gemini monsters you control: Their effects are negated, and cannot be activated during this turn. Effect: Pay 800 Life Points: Special Summon 1 Gemini Monster OR 1 monster that used a Gemini Monster(s) to Summon it from your Graveyard; Equip it with this card. When this card is destroyed: Banish the equipped monster. Effect: Select 1 Gemini Monster you control: Attach 1 FIRE Gemini Monster from your Graveyard to it. The selected monster's effect cannot be negated. If the selected monster would be destroyed: You can detach the attached monster instead. Effect: Treat all Effect Gemini Monsters you control as Normal Monsters (they lose their effects): Select and activate 1 of the following effects: * Destroy a number of cards your opponent controls equal to the number of monsters affected by this card's effect. * Draw a number of cards equal to the number of monsters affected by this card's effect. Effect: When your opponent activates a card effect: Send 1 Gemini Monster from your hand or side of the field to the Graveyard; Negate the activation of that effect. It cannot be activated again during this turn. If this face-down card is destroyed by your opponent: Special Summon 1 FIRE Gemini Monster from your Graveyard. Effect: Treat 1 Effect Gemini Monster you control as a Normal Monster (it loses its effect): Negate the activation of an opponent's Trap Card, and send it to the Graveyard. Effect: When an Effect Gemini Monster is destroyed by a card effect, you can activate this card's effect as the highest Chain Link: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to half that monster's original ATK; Draw 1 card.
'Alexa's' pair of effects are 'Discard 2 cards' or 'Discard 1 card; Your opponent cannot activate card effects'. Bascially, you either discard a lot with a risk, or the same amount as 'Aquarian Alessa' but without any fear of a 'Fabled'/'Dark World' effect. And Fusions are supposed to need 'Polymerization'. But Contact Fusions exist. This is a Contact Ritual. Her effect means that the cards remain face-down at all time, so when you look at your opponent's Graveyard, you cannot look at them, they are face-down to you as well. There is a gain, hand advantage. Look at 'Aquarian Alessa'; low ATK, very low DEF and an almost continuous discard effect. These are simply upgraded forms of that effect. And remember these are Geminis, they need to get their effects before doing anything. (And considering the new 'Dark Worlds', this is not a huge amount of discarding)
normal yet ritual, don't see many of those "When this card destroys a monster by battle: Discard 2 random cards from your opponent's hand face-down" This part you may need an alternative, in case your opponent doesn't have that many cards in his/her hand
I'll reword that. Lexadin
I see you've continued this by quite the bunch. Anywho I'll rate them. Aleah Oh, not your special hybrid OCG? I see this a trent in this set. Oh well. Mhh, saving effect + a Lockdown mill (which is unfortunatly the only mill that works these days). Overal ok support, just a tad on the weak side. Alethea Now this does it's job really good. It Sp.Summons itself, which is always nice, and you can Summon a "Supra" from your Deck, if you don't need it anymore. Excelent work. Alexa I see you've changed it somewhat. It's quite nice how you can Gemini it the turn it's 'placed on the field'. It makes it a lot more usable. As for it's Gemini effect, I already commented on that. So overal another good card. Alesha Once again being able to SS itself leaves open the possiblity to Gemini it the turn it's Summoned. Piercing is nice. But I do have 1 question about the discarding, does it effect the effects of 'Fabled'/'DW' aswell? If so, it's excelent support. If not. Still good support, just a tad less abuseable. Also being able to save other 'Supra's is nice aswell. Alewyn Now this card's interesting, a Ritual who doesn't need Spells? O.o Doesn't that beat the whole point of Rituals? Ignoring that part, It's a interesting card. Ussually people would think discarding 4 times would be the best option. However that leaves this card vulnirable for higher beatsticks. The last effect can simply be dodged by banishing it. Making it quite an usefull card. Overal I'd say this is good support for Alessa. Though it does make her look a little UP. I'd give these a 8.2/
