Ben 10 - Omnitrix Allies

Recommended Posts
There have been Ben 10 sets before on YCM. However In my cards I look to playing ability rather than faithfulness to the series. Other cards have "Ben" transform into them. However these are flawed as if you take out ben your deck is useless. These cards have individual effects which rely on removing omnitrix counters from the field. So in a way it does rely on the "Omnitrix" card which is the main source and way to generate these counters. However "Omnitrix" is hard to remove and can stay on the field easily. Though maybe not the best deck if your a Ben 10 fan I hope this works.

Please don't hold back your comments. Rate, hate and please fix my OCG. It is pretty bad on some cards also please recommend any effects you think would be good on already existing cards or future cards I have not posted. Though as a general rule please don't comment on the images to much unless you can post or link me to a better one.

Disclaimer: I do not own any images though I did photoshop the two images together. I use google images to get my images.

Lore:
This card cannot be targeted as an attack target by a FIRE monster. Once per turn, you can remove 1 Omnitrix Counter form an "Omnitrix" that you control to inflict 300 damage to your opponents. You can remove three Omnitrix counters from a "Omnitrix" you control to inflict damage equal to the number of "Omnitrix Ally" and "Plumber" monsters on the field x300.

Main Idea:
Heatblast is a fiery alien, so naturally I had to give it an effect to burn your opponent. As long as it is on the field you accumulate counters which allow you to burn your opponent. The catch....its low ATK and DEF as well as the fact that you can only use his ability once per turn. I also gave him an immunity to fire type monsters. I added a new effect as well.

Lore:

Once per turn, you can remove up to 3 Omnitrix Counters from this card to activate 1 of the following effects, depending on the number of counters removed:
-1: Look at 1 random card in your opponent's hand.
-2: Select and reveal 1 face-down Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls(your opponent cannot activate a Spell or Trap Card in response to this effect).
-3: Flip all face-down Defense Position monsters your opponent controls face-up(Flip Effects are not activated).

Main idea:
Wildmutt is a sensory alien. Ben usually uses Wildmutt to track down enemies as well as use him for his sharp claws and strength. As I already have a pure power alien I based this off wildmutt's keen senses to reveal everything your opponent has.

Lore:
If a card with "Omnitrix Ally" or "Plumber" in its card name were to be destroyed you can destroy this card instead. If this card were to be destroyed as a result of battle of by a monster card's effect you can remove one Omnitrix counter to negate the attack and switch this card into defensce position.

Main idea:
Originally I had no idea about what to do with Diamondhead. In the show he was strong but had a ranged gatling gun like attack. We fourarms had already taken the Beatdown spot and I couldn't make Diamondhead into a ranged attacker because I was leaving that spot open. So I finally decided to make Diamondhead into a defensive wall. Protecting others with a crystalline body. So here it is Diamondhead.

Lore:
This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card returns to its owner's hand during the End Phase of the turn it is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up. When this card is Summoned remove 2 Omnitrix Counters from your side of the field. If you cannot destroy this card. If this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent add 4 Omnitrix Counters to any face-up "Omnitrix" you control.

Main Idea:
XLR8 is the main speed alien of the original series. Lacks in strength but is super fast. I have looked on previous sets and they always have XLR8 as a weak card that can attack directly. That is good but I couldn't incorporate such an ability that easily with the Omnitrix counters Idea. But really, the fragile attacker gets boring when XLR8 is a card with so much more potential. Thus I left the direct attacker spot open for future cards that have less diverse effects.

So onto the real effect. XLR8 is a key component to let you gain more counters. While you have to sacrifice some counters to get him on the field, if he can inflict battle damage you can gain it all back and more. So XLR8 is a gamble with the highest stakes. If a trap destroys it you lose two Counters and it may very well lose you the duel. However if you have proper set up with cards like Wildmutt sniffing out any traps and Fourarms clearing the field, you have gained a powerful ally. I also think his ATK should go down a bit as 1600 is a bit high for a direct attack but really in most cases you will be destroying weak monsters to inflict just a little damage.

Lore:
While this card is face-up on your side of the field you can remove 1 Omnitrix Counter from a face up "Omnitrix" you control to add return one card with "Omnitrix Ally" in its name from the field to your hand (Effects cannot be activated at this time). Once per turn, you can remove any number of Omnitrix Counters from a faceup "Omnitrix" you control to add to your hand from your Deck an card with "Omnitrix Ally" with Level equal to or less the number of counters removed.

Main Idea:

Again Greymatter was a dead end for me. Greymatter is a little grey alien that is weak but very smart and highly skilled when it comes to mechanical objects. Of course to use his show ability was hard as I would specify it so much it would be almost unplayable do to it being so Up'ed. So I decided to make the little Grey guy extremely important because you can use it to search out other cards in your deck. Summon it instant counter then add to your hand. Bravo! Instant card that allows you to set up a duel perfectly!

Lore:
When this card is Summoned, you can remove any number of Omnitrix Counters from other cards on your field. Place the same amount of Omnitrix Counters you removed on this card. This card gains 100 ATK for each Omnitrix Counter on it. Once per turn, you can remove 1 Omnitrix Counter from another card you control and then place 1 Omnitrix Counter on this card, this effect cannot be activated during the turn this card is Summoned.

Main idea:
Fourarms is your main Beat-stick for this set. Contrary to the show this card is best used mid-Game when you have accumulated many counters to have an instant attacking force on your side of the field. In the show fourarms is a strong physical attacker so naturally this card focusses on Increasing its ATK to destroy you opponent with pure force. Also Fourarms is strong but slow. Thus I gave him low defensce and no resistance to spell, trap or monster effects.

Lore:
Once per turn, you can remove 1 Omnitrix Counter from this card to select 1 face-up monster your opponent controls. The selected monster is switched to Defense Position and loses 200 ATK. The selected monster cannot change its Battle Position until the End Phase.

Main Idea:
Ben's original flight alien. Strong melee attacks and a sharp tail. But Stinkfly's real powers are its ability to shoot sticky goo. Stinkfly is now used to shut your opponents monster down by immobilizing it by switching it to defensce position and lowering its attack.

Lore:
This card can attack your opponent directly. This card gains ATK for each face-up "Omnitrix Ally" and "Plumber" monster you control x300.During your End Phase you must remove 1 Omnitrix Counter from your side of the field. If you cannot, this card is destroyed.

Main idea:
Ripjaws is an aquatic, fast, melee alien. I ditched the idea of water support as it had nothing to do with the set and went with the wild card.....Direct attacking. Portraying Ripjaws aquatic speed is what I intended to do. However in the show ripjaws can't survive outside of water for long, Thus the tribute of one counter.

Lore:
When this card is Summoned you can equip a face-up Machine-Type monster your opponent controls to this card. If this card would be destroyed you can destroy an equipped monster instead. Once per turn you can remove 1 Omnitrix Counter(from where?) to unequip a monster from this card and Special Summon it to your side of the field.

Main idea:
Yes I know. I went with the boring generic upgrade. I see it as I would be going to far to change his ability. Anyways though specified machines are a common type of monster. Upgrade is a pure shut down to about any machine type monster. Though if not used against a machine type deck he's pretty useless.

Lore:
This card cannot be chosen as an attack target. You do not take battle damage from battles involving this card. Once per turn you can activate one of the following effects. Remove one Omnitrix counter to chose a card with "Omnitrix Ally" or "Plumber" inits name and place it on top of your deck Shuffle your deck. Remove two Omnitrix counter to chose a card with "Omnitrix Ally" or "Plumber" inits name and place it in your hand. Remove three Omnitrix counter to chose a card with "Omnitrix Ally" or "Plumber" inits name and special summon it face up on your side of the field.

Main Idea:
Ghostfreak.... the creepy evil undead alien. I based its effects around returning monsters from your graveyard to you. Either your hand, deck, or field. It's not that creative but its .... ghostfreak.

Lore:
This card loses 100 attack for every faceup card with "Omnitrix Ally" or "Plumber" in its card name. If this card were to be sent to the graveyard you can special summon from your hand or deck a card with "Vilgax" in its name to your side of the field in faceup attack

Main idea:
Classic supervillain, show up strong get beat and get your attack lowered by plumbers and aliens then show them who's boss by returning a few episodes later. Need I say more? I didn't think so.

Lore:
This cards name is also treated as "Vilgax". If this card is Summoned by the effect of "Vilgax" you can increase this card's Level by 1.

Main idea:
So i started making support for this set and I decided to make some villains that could work together away from the whole omnitrix counter idea. Vilgax is a very hardy recurring villain so I mad many forms of him and I made him annoyingly difficult to get off the field. You'll understand better once I post more.

Lore:

While this card is face-up on the field its name is treated as "Omnitrix". Each time you Summon an "Alien Ally" or "Plumber" monster, place 1 Omnitrix Counter on this card. (If it is an odd number round down) Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can place Omnitrix Counters on this card equal to half the number of "Omnitrix Ally" and "Plumber" monsters you control (Place 1 Omnitrix Counter on this card if you only control 1 "Omnitrix Ally" or "Plumber" monster.) . If this card would be destroyed or banished, you can remove 1 Omnitrix Counter from this card instead.

Lore:
This card can only be equipped to a "Galactic Villain - Sunder" that is faceup on your side of the field. Once per turn you can banish one card on the field. If you activate this effect change the equipped monster into defensce position.

Main idea:
In the show Sunder is a strong bounty hunter/villain. Though skilled he is weak compared to Ben and relies on one thing to turn the tides. His axe. The axe can chop things and send them to different dimensions. As such I made it so he could banish things. It has a drawback in switching Sunder to defensce as Sunder has 0 DEF.

Well I am happy to see a Ben 10 set, and I like how you have kept the cards linked but are still their own card. I am planning on creating a Ben 10 set soon, so hopefully are sets will be able to rival each other.
I want to let you know that I am not good with the new OCG(with all the colons and semicolons) but I will try and help as much as possible.

Four Arms:
When this card is Summoned, you can remove any number of Omnitrix Counters from other cards on your field. Place the same amount of Omnitrix Counters you removed on this card. This card gains 100 ATK for each Omnitrix Counter on it. Once per turn, you can remove 1 Omnitrix Counter from another card you control and then place 1 Omnitrix Counter on this card, this effect cannot be activated during the turn this card is Summoned.

This card isn't too bad, but he is able to gain a massive amount of ATK points with virtually no draw backs. Perhaps put 'When this card is successfully Tribute Summoned, you can...' instead of just the generic 'Summon'. The pic on this card isn't great. Instead of looking on Google Images to find the pictures, check on DeviantArt of Photobucket.

If this card would be destroyed or banished, you can remove 1 Omnitrix Counter from this card instead.

This card seems fine. The pic isn't great, but I know it is difficult to find pictures of the Omnitrix itself.

I'm fine with the pics as I made them my self so please refrain from commenting on them to much as devient art is banned from my computer. Also Fourarms has low defensce and can easily be taken down by spell and trap cards. but thanks for the OCG fix and comments.

added heatblast and fixed fourarms. Once you guys rate a card I will post a new one.

I think you should up the burn. Like make equal to the number of "Omnitrix Ally" and "Plumber" monsters on the field x200, but maybe make it remove 2 Omnitrix Counters(from anywhere on the field) instead of just one.

If a card with "Omnitrix Ally" or "Plumber" in its card name would be destroyed(by battle or card effect) you can destroy this card, instead. If this card would be destroyed as a result of battle of by an Effect Monster's effect you can remove 1 Omnitrix Counter from this card instead. If this effect is activated, switch this card to Defense Position.

This card I think is much to powerful. It shouldn't be able to negate its own destruction from its own effect, maybe add in:

...if this card would be destroyed, by a Monster Card(by battle of effect) your opponent controls...

This way it doesn't become OP'ed.

best ben 10 set ive everseen... i used to luv that show soooo much.
everyone made the deck relying too much on ben... like my friend, he made some(Ben 10) and we dueled with our printed cards(Mine was my first set, underworlders), we added some real cards in too :3.. for example, reincarnation, blah, blah, blah. i owned him with cloak and dagger, and nobleman of cross out.
he could play no cards except for mules (some useless cards for tributing etc.)

The card seems fine. The OCG was pretty bad, but that is easily corrected. Could be very useful in sniffing out those pesky Rykos and Mirror Forces.
