now that he's dead, america's gonna fight the libyan rebels obama once aided to take control of libya. then send troops to take care of all the oil being taken from libyan soil.
what did gaddhafi do during his reign? his fight against the rebels is only one thing he did wrong. libya broke only one resolution, while israel has broken countless resolutions against palestine, but no one's saying anything. like fidel castro, or saddam hussein, Moammar Gaddhafi was against america's imperialism, so they had to get rid of him, they wanted libya for their own. in fact, this war isn't even over. stephen harper even said, "mission is ALMOST over". almost? when gaddhafi said osama bin laden was hypnotising his people, he was telling the truth. CIA gave him orders to. but those rebels, if they're able to defend their land from the taliban troops soon to come and gun down american drones that fly over libya for dropping bombs on innocent people, i'll know that gaddhafi wasn't much of a loss.

Umm. The president under no circumstances wants to put troops in Libya. He is not Bush, he has even commended their actions.

I understand Israel gets away with a lot of sh*t but thats because they are officially allies of the United States. If Libya becomes allies with us well then they will be dodging sh*t too.

like fidel castro, or saddam hussein, Moammar Gaddhafi was against america's imperialism, so they had to get rid of him, they wanted libya for their own.

Funny thing is Fidel Castro influenced his brother and Cuba is capitalist again! Saddam Hussein was a nutjob who killed hundreds of his own people and I would say our interference was warranted. And funny how the only reason Muammar Ghaddafi would be against American imperialism is because he is afraid of us going into Libya and ending his selfish, dictatorial regime.

in fact, this war isn't even over. stephen harper even said, "mission is ALMOST over". almost?

Stephen Harper is only one man with one agenda. You cannot attribute him to the whole United States.

when gaddhafi said osama bin laden was hypnotising his people, he was telling the truth. CIA gave him orders to.

That would be because the CIA has the smartz to know how much of an idiot Osama was. As far as influencing Ghaddafi however I believe is just a conspiracy theory.

but those rebels, if they're able to defend their land from the taliban troops soon to come and gun down american drones that fly over libya for dropping bombs on innocent people, i'll know that gaddhafi wasn't much of a loss.

Ghaddafi was not a loss. His death was a victory and he was an idiot and a dictator who needed to die. He killed his own people and lead a deadly regime over Libya. Taliban is fighting in Afghanistan and we are kicking their arse. They wont be going anywhere anytime soon. Our drone strikes are for killing idiotic muslim radicalistic terrorists, not libyans.

Eva, I'd like to point ou that those "idiotic" radicals were trained by the CIA during the Afghan Wars of the cold War. We taught them how to fight and we told them fight any invaders via "holy war". We, in an essence, have created our own problem in Afghanistan. If we didn't leave the Afghans for dead after they repulsed the Soviets we would probably not fighting right now. And that "idiot" Osama managed to hide from the CIA for ten years while living down the street from our former allies military base. Who is the real idiot?

Yes that is all true but America has changed and we are trying to fix our past mistakes. The Soviets were everywhere and we were worried of the growing threat of communism so in our fear we taught many to fight back against Soviet Invasions to which it was fruitful. However eventually the result produced these radicals in the Middle East. And Osama is an idiot but George W. Bush is an even bigger idiot and thats why he evaded us.

Therefore we don't have any right to critize or accuse these people if we made them ourselves. This is were a peace treaty comes in.

It may seem idiotic to stop all our advances to simply sign a peace treaty of sorts conforming to (some of) their demands

It would be more idiotic to continue fighting a war that basically requires subduing every single major city in that region at the same time and promising to help every one of those countrys regain economic stability

It's virtually impossible and is probably the main reason the British surrendered to the new United States of America at the end of the Revolutionary War and didn't majorly fight again until the War of 1812, 20 years later.

The distance is too much and too costly and to win requires military presence everywhere at once while suppling the new nation with money to stay alive.

Sure, the man was an a****** who killed tons of his own people and plenty of Americans

But to fight further is gonna create an after war effect worse than the Vietnam War

Except the more we invade, more radical moderates get and thusly we have a Somalia-type anarchy that extends all over the Middle East
Hes dead we are through with helping Libya as of right now. We are backing out of Iraq and we are only legitametly fighting in Afghanistan.

they're flying drones in afghanistan, pakistan, iraq, yemen, libya, and somalia. obama bombs any country with anti islamic terrorist organisations. and osama worked for the CIA. they gave him billions of dollars to fund taliban in pakistan. stephen harper follows whatever america does. fidel resigned because of health conditions but he overthrew the US backed brutality rule of fulgencio batista. then he took back property that was rightfully cuba's. saddam got chemical weapons from america, but did not want america getting iraq's oil. and he will put troops in libya, soon, it happened in afghanistan, it happened in iraq, its gonna happen in libya. because the rebels obviously don't want to be part of america. they want to be their own. america doesn't give a damn about libya's freedom, they just want it a part of their oil kingdom.

I am not going to debate you because it is obvious we have completely opposite viewpoints.
Me:
I love America.
We know best.
The Middle East is full of terrorists so unfortunately they gotta die.
Islam is false.
Saddam Hussein, Muammar Al Ghaddafi, and Osama Bin Laden are monsters and terrorists who needed to die.
You:
You hate America.
America does not know best.
The Middle East is full of enlightened thinkers who know of Americas treachery and deceit.
Islam is the one true religion.
Saddam Hussein, Muammar Al Ghaddafi, and Osama Bin Laden are all geniuses who fought against American tyranny and injustice.
It is obvious no matter what I say this discussion will get nowhere.
However I will say this, Bin Laden, Hussein, and Ghaddafi can burn in Saturns pits and if this is the true word of this so called "Allah" then I refuse to listen. They are all terrorists who killed innocent americans and I feel they got their just deserts. We started it I know I know. However now we are trying to fix our past mistakes. By getting these horrible c*cksucking b*stards killed.

Really?

How are any better than him if you stereotype him as anti-american and pro-terrorism

News Flash - We've made just as many mistakes as the next country

The only difference is that the Ottoman Empire joined the wrong side in WWI, got split up, wasn't divided in the right manner (by the way we were totally clamed up around this time) allowed for bullshit governments to take over, said bullshit governments were overthrown by orginally justified but now turned eveil military leaders, somewere in the middle our genius leaders create the Mujahedeen, and then later we piss them off in the Gulf Wars and they form a militia of sorts and attack ad kill 3,000 civilians, we retailate with 2 seperate wars and kill nearly double..

America is definatly more justified.

and please don't bring the validity of religion into this; elseways we'll have to move this into the debate section

(FYI, Islam is derived from the Arabic word meaning Salaam which means peace ;3)

We are not anti-muslim. That is only the majority of Tennessee and Texas goers nowadays. Trust me you have no idea how many people in my school chastise people who stereotype muslims and we live in America. America is not anti-muslim only people are. However that is the glory of freedom of speech. My boyfriend is the biggest one of em, he hates anybody who stereotypes muslims as terrorists and one time he almost punched an idiot redneck for saying that his muslim friend supported Saddam (Which he did not might I add) He is a staunch supporter of Muslim civil rights. There are good people in America too y'know. Please don't stereotype America because of idiots like that kid. America is diverse in its opinions and thats what makes people like them. But there are good guys too.
