Tentacruel
Okay, so I'm not really that into Obama, but I can't help but admitting that he's easily one of, if not the strongest choice for the 2012 Presidential Election. I'd like to see Ron Paul get elected, but that's not going to happen. Herman Cain is okay, but not much better than the rest. Rick Perry and those other guys are just cookie cutter Republicans, boring stuff. I know we've had this topic quite a few times before, but discuss dem elections. (But play nice.) Raine
I'm going international when I graduate from college so I've really given up hope for American renewal in terms of our politics and people. A century of being on top will do that to you. Democrats or Republics, I;ll make a wish for an independent to win.

Legend Zero
I'm voting for Obama not because he's the best, but he'll be better than the Repub candidate. I'm also giving him more time because people blame him for Congress sucking balls.

I don't agree with the Republican party all that much either, but it's still nice to look at things from both points of view.
Lonk
Obama needs to lift the Immigration laws. Having Immigrants in the States is pretty good. Only reason why the U.S. is being overpopulated is because people don't know how to close their legs. I still see some hope for America, but not in the near future. Anyways, I still am giving Obama time because he honestly, imo, has a different style of politics than other people who were president.
Apostle of Calamity
This is no different than the conflict that happen in the 1850's except the parties have switched ideals. Republicans favor State Power. Democrats Favor Federal Power. Neither side is completely right but they have their up's and down's in my view. I love America and I know that eventually someone smart will jump to the plate and help this country President or not. Right now I am rooting for Newt Gingrich or Mitt Romney as I dislike the rest but if neither of the above two make the nomination then Obama has my support. This is history repeating itself again. Mostly because we haven't learned a damn thing. Too much power in the Federal Government causes authority to gain too much power and the people lose their individual rights. Too much power to the State Government's causes authority to drop and chaos ensues coupling the fact that our country will seem no different then the Mayan Empire. There is a way to create equality in the two but Liberals and Conservatives are too busy being up each others asses and claiming their way is right when in fact it isn't. Legend Zero
I dislike Republicans right now because they think deregulation is the answer. Yet not having regulations was what let the banks give NINJA loans and put us in the Recession. Yet I live in a predominantly Republican city. ='[

You need to have balance and both sides at this point just want to have the scale tip in their favor when in fact it needs to be even. Not too much regulation, but a little is perfect. The Democrats want too much and the Republicans want too little. That is the problem.
Tentacruel
What I don't like is that usually Democrat's regulations trickle down into smaller business and crush them, which sucks. Republicans think that if you let huge corporations do whatever they want, the wealth will trickle down to the working class. (But it sure as hell does not.) Both sides are not completely right and they wont give up until they reign supreme which is exactly what happened in the Civil War between the Republicans and the Democrats, the only difference being that the last conflict led to a Civil War. Its because of both parties inability to compromise that this sh*t happens. Both parties are at fault because they are no longer concerned with helping us out and more concerned with getting the majority over the other side. Legend Zero
I'm not saying deregulation is bad by any means. I just think that not fixing what got us into the downturn in the first place is a little to stupid. I girl in my class said that her brother had got a loan for a new car while on unemployment.....now seriously what the hell.
