Ieyasu Tokugawa
Alright first, "Nice cards, X/10" is not a comment in my eyes. I don't pay attention to them. Tell me why I got what I got. What was it you liked? Give me details man! Same goes for the reverse, tell me why you don't like them if you don't. I can't improve if you don't tell me what's wrong. Anyway, wanted to make a vanilla archtype, got bored, made a backstory, realized what I was doing, freaked out, then got over it. Enjoy.
Template: Judas Image archives used: Jazin Kay, Koko

Humans have always been considered the dominant species on earth. Their intelligence has put them above all other creatures. As time went on, humans began expanding that intelligence; creating new technological devices from every day machinery to weapons of war. Eventually, humans were able to look into the genes of living creatures. This spurred on more research and eventually the gained the ability to alter these genes, and even the DNA of these creatures. They began experimenting, from creating war beasts to making humanoid counterparts. They advanced so far that they even began fusing these creatures with machinery to up their performance. All this went on until it finally got out of hand. Creatures began to escape and run through the town towards the wild. Mechanized beasts caused havoc on innocent people, predators began luring humans as prey, and small, docile creatures became wild killers. Everything seemed to go into chaos. But that wasn’t the end. As these creatures roamed, evolution began taking place. Their intelligence grew due to the mutations. Their newfound intelligence made them into a bigger threat than ever. They learned new hunting techniques, learned how to predict the human’s advances, and some even went as far as to learn human fighting styles. Then intelligent dominated the rest. They began taking control of the wild creatures that had yet to evolve, making them into allies and soldiers. As time went on they began to make organized strikes against humans. They hated them for this. The original creatures missed their old lives of peace. They resented the humans for this curse. They vowed to take down human civilization for good…

One of the first experiments, it was merely a small bird before humans held it captive. Their idea was to create a phoenix, a creature that could revive itself endlessly. As they began learning how to use more methods for genetic splicing, they chose this creature for tests. They began fusing it with different weapons, creating the first war machine of its kind. However, even though it was the first to experiment on, it never evolved passed learning attack patterns. It became an obedient soldier of the more intelligent, both for air transport and air strikes.

A part of the second wave of the experiments, this was a mere fish when it was captured. Through extensive experiments it grew to 10x its size, astounding those who watched. But it wasn’t enough. They began more experiments, and eventually the creature developed the ability to change its shape at will. However, it also gained the ability to learn. It was eventually able to decipher human speech, and eventually communicated with them. It befriended humans, talking with them and being compassionate with them. Until one day it used those friendships to escape. Half eaten dead bodies were found around its tank, obviously fed on. It now lives in lakes and rivers, luring unsuspecting humans to its nest for its offspring to feed. Being the most intelligent of the experiments, it dominated over the beasts, giving them commands and being the tactician of the movement.

The third wave of experiments brought on the truly fearsome creatures. Humans began hunting down the more ferocious predators to alter in their labs, attempting to make war beasts. They became ferocious and fearsome, so much that even other experiments began to fear them. As they grew, they became more and more violent, causing many casualties among human scientists. There were plans to eliminate these experiments as failures, but some ran off before they were killed. Anything that is able to control one of these mighty creatures is considered to be the greatest of the great, as only they would be able to tame a creature of pure destruction.

Learning from their mistakes, the fourth wave of creatures contains smaller, more docile creatures. They focused more on giving it human traits, creating a hybrid of man and beast. However doing so made the creatures’ intelligence spike almost instantly. They easily learned human language and grew to understand the human intentions. They used their agility and superior intelligence to escape into the wild. However, unlike other creatures, these sought out kinder humans, interacting with them and learning their customs. Doing so has created a second faction of the creatures, those that wish for peace between humans and beasts. Their intelligence allows them to outwit most creatures and gain control of them, even the ferocious beasts that came before them, making them a dangerous foe in the eyes of some humans.

The greatest mistake of the humans was the fifth wave of experiments. While they were working, an accident occurred in one of the labs. All creatures that had been captured were killed, and many human casualties were caused because of it. The humans that were hurt began to mutate themselves; their bodies deteriorated and began to fall apart. People watching assumed they had died, but they didn’t realize that the humans became spirit-like, with the ability to possess inanimate objects. Most common possessing ancient suits of armor, these humans have seen the destruction they have caused and seek to put an end to it. Some have joined the ferocious side, others the peaceful. They still may be human, but they are no longer recognizable.

It's not freaking showing up, so here's the details. Evolution Dragnov **** DARK/Dragon A reptile morphed by human experimentation, it has become both intelligent and hostile. It is able to control creatures with lower intelligence easily and send them out against the enemy. Combined with its own power, it is easily one of the most fearsome creatures created by evolution and human intervention. 1900 ATK/0 DEF The sixth wave of experiments used common reptiles, a new test for the human scientists, for they had yet to attempt anything on them as of yet. It would prove both magnificent, and horrifying. Plans were to create a version of the mythical dragons. The experiments grew to the size of humans immediately, though they acted in the same way as they used to. The workers could find no practical use for them, and they were docile, so they passed them off as pets. This proved yet another big mistake. The creatures began to learn quickly. The new environment quickened their growth in intelligence. They began to become more hostile. Human casualties resulted, and the decision was made to eliminate them. However, the creatures had already grown enough in intelligence to see the threat and escaped in time. They are by far the most dangerous of the creations, with high intelligence and ferocity. These creatures are not only able to get other, less intelligent creatures under their control, but they are even able to take on the humans by themselves. They are by far the worst threat to the human civilization as of yet, and are given priority over others in being eliminated. All for the good of mankind.

The starting point of the project, the humans found a way to look at and manipulate the gene pool of creatures. Using this they were able to alter creatures to their will, giving them new abilities and appearances. Misuse would prove disastrous as hostile creatures were created…

As the creatures got further and further out of control, security systems were required to be put into place. The labs were surrounded by giant structures emanating energy designed to repel the creatures. However, the creatures absorbed some of the energy when they made contact. Unbeknownst to the humans, the creatures were changing yet again, and would prove even more deadly as time went on...
iGrowlithe
I love them. The art looks very fun and looks like it could actually be on a RL card. That always wins me over. Anyway, I think that having this many level 4 2000 attackers with no drawback is a bit of overkill. I mean there are only like 4 level 4 1900's and 1 Normal 4-2000atk Monster. Just saying. I mean...its...I dont know. But I like them. My favorite is the Mermaid! Shes pretty. :

Fire has Rekindling, Water had big fish, and Air has Divine Wind. Light and Earth already have theirs with Gene Warped Warwolf and Alexandrite Dragon, that just leaves Dark, but they have so much support I don't really think they need a lvl 4 beater like that. Also note that while they have no drawbacks, they also have no advantage other than high attack.
Kyng's Old Account
I think that the "Evolution Beast" with 1600 ATK + 2300 DEF is too much. It's got alright attack, and can switch from a moderate attacking monster into a wall. For a Level 4? Hmm...I think its overpowered. I'm guessing that, once you make more, they will run Special Summoning from the Deck (which I got from the Spell Card). Try not to make too many 2000 ATK Lv4 monsters, it'll dull the set. LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
Well this certainly looks like it could be interesting. Did you mean to have them say "Effect" or was that a mistake because I don't see a reason for it. Evolution Beast might be too strong. Reading the backstory I think it should be a higher level with more ATK and/or DEF (sorry if that's too vague).. I'll wait for more support to make a final judgement though. crystalfeet
Who did the artwork? They are freakin awesome. But i thought some of them might have had some killer effect(especially with all that intro). 2k ATK ain't something new so it's kind of meh. Anyway i think the defense of that evolution beast doesn't suit it's ATK, It's not ordinary that's all but it gives me the Erie feeling.

Tentacruel
This set, it is good. Keep up the good work. I look forward to seeing more support and the like. But Gene-Warped Werewolf is sad that his title is gone.

Anyway, if pics go down It's cuz I'm changing them up.EDIT: Oh, and to expand on the Earth guy's defense, if you notice it's just under Monarch level. Synchros and Xyz are running the format right now. The only Synchros that can't run it over are Junk Warrior and Brionac/Orient Dragon, while stuff like Hyper Librarian, Black Rose, Stardust etc. jut run this thing over easily. Same goes for Xyz, since rank 3 has Leviathan, rank 4 has Utopia, etc.
Synchronized
They're definitely interesting; and with enough field presence could make something like Natural Tune interesting (depending on what your support looks like, at least). The 2300 one isn't bad at all, actually. As a matter of fact, it could probably have a lot of uses because there's not much that can run it over. Strider Tigerwolf
There are plenty of ways to abuse that new counter of yours (Activate, Mills + Graveyard plays) but not to the point of actually breaking these guys. TBH, this is actually almost the "perfect" card for them against other decks seeing as they can now abuse Rescue Rabbit shennanigans AND get rid of that third and now "useless" copy in your Deck that's just floating around as a dead draw. Card design is very good, and perfectly balanced.

The Jazz
I love all the pictures - those are mainly the things that make it look like it could become a realistic card. The thing with good cards is that there's not much to say about them. Well, I just find one thing strange how a mermaid is stronger than a war beast... just saying >.> I hope more support comes along, and maybe a synchro. But that depends - I am completely outdated with today's meta - it's possible to have vanilla tuners right? Either way, please continue, I'd like to see more. Good job.
Well, it could be because you can send the monster to the graveyard, then use the spell to summon it. But that's a combo, not broken, especially since the monsters are level 4 vanillas. It basically was a "cool cards bro" post, trying to disguise itself.
~ P O L A R I S ~
Besides, we need a rekindlingable 2K beater lol.
IDRGI. Firedog is Firedog.
Give me a reason why it's broken so I can think of how to fix it :I This is pretty much one of those "cool cards bro" posts if you look at it.
It needs an extra drawback on top of merely being Archetype-specific as per every Archetype-specific Spell/Trap negater ever released. Sending one of these from your Deck to your Graveyard's more of a benefit than a cost. I also found it slightly odd that Gene Pool prevents you from Summoning from the Deck. I mean, it's not like this sudden undertaking of a vanilla Archetype has anything to do with Rescue Rabbit or anything amirite? A good number of these really shouldn't be vanillas the way they are. They're described as having abilities for which counterparts are fairly common on Effect Monsters, like how the Dragnov "controls creatures" and Mermaid "changes its shape" and "lures men". Kitsune's "intelligence", "agility", and "skills" still weren't any use in escaping being made into a 2000 ATK vanilla beater. Perhaps you should omit these special abilities in favor of some more "DID I MENTION IT IS A SAVAGE ADRENALINE-PUMPED MONSTER?" lines or something. Evolution Phoenix: "has made this peaceful creature" = "have made this peaceful creature" (multiple factors) It's destructive power" = "Its destructive power". ("it's" means "it is", for the possessive use "its".) "leval a small town in merely seconds." = "level a small town in mere seconds." Evolution Mermaid: "has made this small creature" = "have made this small creature" "of what is destroying it's kind." = "of what is destroying its kind." Evolution Beast: "Once a small creature of pray" = "Once a small creature of prey" ("pray" is used in worshipping contexts, not in reference to predators) "has turned this beast" = "have turned this beast" Evolution Kitsune: "human intervention and evolution has given this human intelligence" = "human intervention and evolution have given this ____ human intelligence". Fill in the blank with "pitiful fox" or something. "it's agility."="its agility.". "Using these skills," = "Using these traits," (Human intelligence and agility are more traits than skills.) Evolution Goliath: "he has realized the horror of what his kind has done" = "he has realized the horror of what his kind have done" (Phrases like "his kind" and "the people" are considered plural because they refer to a group.) "becoming no more than a spirit with a concious" = "becoming no more than a spirit with a conscience" ("conscious" is an adjective and "concious" isn't a word.) Dragnov's good, just remember that its whole to control creatures while being vanilla doesn't really make sense. Gene Pool: "Normal monster" = "Normal Monster" "You cannot summon monsters from your Deck until the End Phase." = "You cannot Special Summon a monster(s) from your Deck during the turn you activate this card." (Reference: CT08 Pot of Duality) A digit has always been used as the last character in a Set ID. For Special Editions the second and third-last characters are letters, but that's pretty much it. You can keep the "X" if you want, just keep in mind that it's generally not the done thing. Defensive Measures: "[Your current effect]" = "When an opponent's Spell or Trap Card is activated: Send 1 "Evolution" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard; Negate the activation and destroy it." (References: CT08 Solemn Warning and Dark Bribe) And again you may want to consider changing the Set ID slightly. Hope that helps! Good luck and keep making these.
Ieyasu Tokugawa
Well like I said I had the big urge to make a vanilla archtype so I did I'll think of something for defensive measures if it's really that bad. I facepalmed at most of those grammar mistakes >.< I'm usually one to correct the "it's" vs "its" thing too... And for Gene Pool, don't use Duality as a reference. Duality doesn't let you summon during the turn period. Gene Pool still lets you summon from the deck before you use it. That's what I want. And yea I know, I just wanted to keep the creatures in order so I used the X as a place-keeper for now. Thanks for grammar and detail checks though. I'll update whenever.
