Evidently, equipping it from the hand is the cost of an Ignition Effect (which makes no sense), and negating effects starts a chain. Which seems counterproductive. evilfusion Posted November 18, 2011 Report Share Posted November 18, 2011 My current assumption is that whoever translated the card didn't understand the new OCG when they wrote this, and the Wiki went by the translated wording to determine what "type" of effects they are (Ignition, Trigger, Condition, respectively). "You can equip this card from your hand to a face-up "Chaos Number 39: Utopia Ray" you control. While equipped with this card, that monster gains 1900 ATK. If the equipped monster battles with an opponent's monster, the effects of your opponent's battling monster are negated during the Battle Phase only. There can only be 1 ZW...on the field." This doesn't just let C.No 39 run over Galaxy Eyes and Red Nova/Shooting Star, it lets it run over everything. C.No 39 is now some sort of rampaging beast. Where the hell is my rock? Otherwise, Quick Effects and some Triggers can still activate, if they have the same timing as Attack Declaration. Such as Galaxy-Eyes, Number 39, and Number 96.
