Discard 2 cards from your hand OR banish 2 monsters from your Graveyard with the same Level: Target 1 monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target and equip it with this card. While equipped, it gains the following effect:
* When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: Target 1 card your opponent controls; return it to its owners hand and this card gains 500 ATK.
Sorry about that frankly getting that extra 500 points is too much of a plus considering you are already sending a card off the field.
You gain a monster in your grave and as you discard first you can summon the discarded monster.

too much to ask for isn't it?

That's not really a valid point, though. Five-hundred attack points for destroying (and bouncing) a monster isn't that big of a deal, especially when you consider the heavy cost.

I mean, I suppose you could bring back a discarded monster, but then that's just a -3 that only becomes a -2. There's plenty of room to manuever there to net yourself advantage without being broken.

for the 500 atk gain, that can get OPed

I think it's going to have to depend on the monster you're getting out the graveyard, especially since the atk gain is a permanent one

what I would have done is specify the monster a little bit

like say the monster you're special summoning must have some specific base atk limit

The ATK gain doesn't make it broken. What makes it broken is the fact that you can choose what cost you're willing to pay. NOBODY is going to use the first cost and will always opt the second one. Why? Because it's so easy to get 2 Level 3/4's in the Graveyard, meaning it allows you to easily activate this without any loss in advantage (face it, you're going to gain even more advantage if you go into Levair).
