Craziest Anime Card: Trade Game

Recommended Posts

Trade Game [Spell/Continuous]
Lore: Once per turn, you can toss a dice. If the result on the dice is 6, multiply the life points you currently have by 5. If the result is not 6, your life points become that of the amount you had before this card's activation.

I can't find it on the picture but its on the anime. pretty cheat card if it was real. Discuss.

I probably wouldn't be so stupid. I have 100,000 LP, my opponent has 900 and has no cards on the field whatsoever. What could I possibly have to gain by rolling the die again?

ffffffff, what could you lose? XD

By roling a 1 and having LP return to 4000, then having the opponent bring out Chaos Number 39 and OTKs against Number 7.

^^; I was kidding. Obviously one has half his life points to lose by trying more than once.

dunno about craziest but it's just nut to go on using die and using luck for it and going on the result of 6s for so many damn time!... I need air =_=

reality note: this is missing the drawback shown on wikia which is this
Once per turn: You can roll a six-sided die; if the result is 6, multiply your Life Points by 5, otherwise your Life Points return to the amount you had before this card's effect was used successfully, any activations of effects that require a die roll are negated, and you take 1000 damage during each of your Standby Phases.
you have a 5/6 chance of this card destroying you which is not a very good odd at all. so then it is very risky card.

Another note: change the name to "Bye Bye Game" as it is appeared to be named like that

anime note: I thought there would be a mean to use this card in that duel but it wasn't the case, what the point of making charlie's LP to 100 000 when in the end Yuma will just deal 4000 damages?

Evil i thought you'd worked out why he did it in the Zexal sub discussion thread; by saying that he wanted to use it to test his luck after Yuma destroyed that stupid 'Scales of the Sun' card, realised the power of Lucky Stripe had left him because of it, and pretty much gave up on the duel. Which was a sensible argument.

Charlies 100,000LP is the highest total anyone has got to in the anime. In a one-duel episode featuring a character who will, most probably, not appear again.

Says a lot about how critical LP is considered in duels really huh?

Yeah, I figured it out, but it was ludicrously stupid in terms of writing. "Oh no, my luck might be gone. I should test it using the card that, if my luck really is gone, will remove my ungodly advantage."

What he should have done is test his luck using Lucky Stripe's effect. If his luck was gone, Yuma would survive the turn as Stripe's 700 ATK (multiplied by 1) would drop him to 200, and Charlie would still have 100,000 LP. If the luck wasn't gone, he'd win the duel.

Yes, but you're ignoring one critical thing.

That would mean Yuma would lose.

And we can't have that. Not even in filler duels against people like Anna.

Certainly not when Numbers are on the line. <_<

The writers will have to sort that out and think up some way out of the corner they've backed themselves into with that, otherwise we're going to have Yusei-syndrome all over again, except with a guy whose character is supposed to be the polar opposite of Yusei in terms of ability.

That episode was flawed in so many ways.

1) Charlie got 100,000 LP, and lost all of it when his luck was lost, causing him to lose.

2) He lost his luck because of some rumor/myth about Number 7, the information of which no one should know anyway, due to the fact it's a Number and only arrived when Astral did. In fact, we don't even know who originally owned Number 7.

3) Astral did not take the Numbers from Charlie. Number 11 being stolen is never officially resolved. Number 7 is given to a child who we know little about.

I agree that Charlie should have lost by way of taking a chance to many, but in that manner was... very anti-climatic.

But you're right about the history/myth of Number 7 being a major clash with everything before in the series, and the whole thing of its power being held over by some random spell was horrible. But we knew enough about the child, or could at least assume all we needed in that she is close to Charlie and about to have major surgery, and Charlie was trying to help her by getting a lucky charm.

But yeah an episode I was massively excited about and then got let down by. And still the last one I've seen (damn lazy subbers).
