evilfusion Posted December 16, 2011 Report Share Posted December 16, 2011 I love this format infinitely more than March 2011, which was almost unquestionably the WORST format the game has ever seen since Chaos or Tele-DAD. BLS will probably get rebanned. Brionac should get banned. It's about time for it to go. Heavy will STAY. It's better for the game than when it was gone. It was banned for 2 formats, then they brought it back and it's greatly improved the quality and skill of the format. Oppression isn't coming back. That card is broken, in case you forgot the type of unfair shenanigans it did last format and the formats before that. Rescue Rabbit will probably be left alone. Without Tour Guide in the OCG, and with OCG not having priority, the card isn't nearly as abuseable there. I can see it getting Limited to hurt the consistency, but if anything, I think Semi-Limited would be better. The problem is I know Semi-Limit is stupid to suggest without a good reason. To be honest, I'm not sure what other Decks are really causing trouble. DWs might be making a bigger splash in the OCG, so something might happen to them, but Grapha is the only true problem card in the Deck. I would ban FGD instead, then Future Fusion is no longer a Foolish Burial on super steroids. Brionac must go. It's been deserving it for a while now. Magical Stone will probably go to 3. No one uses it anymore because it's a -2. Why would you -2 yourself just to get a spell back? Dandy AND Lonefire to 0. Goodbye plant synchro. Then we can put Debris @2 or even @3. It COULD go back to 2, though, if Heavy Storm stays. But come on, MST is one of those cards that shouldn't have stayed Limited for so long because it wasn't remotely abusable. Advanced Ritual Art...that could go to 2, but I doubt it will be. Tsukyomi can go to 1. Honestly, Mask of Darkness is the card it can abuse the most, and that's rarely used because it's slow. Problem is that the combo of Mask + Tsukyomi + Drastic Drop Off/similar is too good, so if this came back, Mask would have to go. Tribe should stay banned. It's a slight Lightning Vortex on legs. Brio is bad when it just bounces 1 card. The reusable ability to nuke multiple monsters is a bit much. Gale could go to 2, but Blackwings still seem big in OCG, so it probably wont happen unless other things in the Deck are hit. Marshmallon doesn't self-destruct when targeted, which is why Reaper isn't considered as bad. Plus, the burn thing. 1 is fine. Book of Moon is fine at 1. We'd love it back in multiples, though. If Tsukuyomi came back, this would be banned, though. Chain Strike is best at 2 or 1. Not 3, and not used enough to go to 1. Oh, and the DN World Duel Carnival, while not exactly the most credible tourney, had a Burn Deck do incredibly. It didn't win overall, but it absolutely annihilated my Rabbit deck 2-0 (Granted, I got crap). Giving a third Chain Strike gives the theme even more power. BOM will probably stay at one and as has been said will be banned if tsukuyomi goes to 1. Dandy will probably stay, not sure on lonefire (though I'd like it if it stayed as it ruins my plant deck if I lose it). Pinch hopper will probably take a hit of some description (pinch+citadael+uru... which will kill yet another of my decks >.>) BLS will be gone and chaos sorcerer will be @1. Rescue Rabbit has been horrible for this format, and FuFu has been needing the axe for a while, as has Tour Guide, though he's a long shot as he's TCG only. Trunade would be decent to have back at one, but that was another long shot. Konami's trying to push Chaos Dragons and Inzektors pretty heavily, so they might give use another Dark Armed if they thought it would get us to play them. The things that befuddle me most about your selection is that you pointed out Unlimiting Marshmallon without pointing to Semi-Limiting Spirit Reaper and that you don't think that Tribute could come back. Tribute is more consitant at 2 anyway, so the semi-limit is more token than anything else at this point, and I see no reason Marshmellon shouldn't be at 3 if Spirit Reaper is ok at 3. It's been around @1 since almost the getgo, and I'm quite content with the fact that it's not going to go anywhere. Should it? Yeah. Will it? No. How often do you even hear people complaining about it anymore? There's definitely some things that need to be fixed before that. I'd like to see something come back that would make the game interesting, like maybe Marshmallon @2 and Chain Strike @3.
