Pawning Off (Gem-Knight Deck)

Recommended Posts

I have a modification for ya.
You play 3 GK Pearl. It's a nice beatstick and its Gem Knight. However, if you can make Rank 4 Xyz Monsters, you may want something better/more useful than only GK Pearl.
So how about -2 GK Peal, and +1 Daigusto Emeral (It's Second Effect exists!) and +1 Utopia or Laval Chain.

Why?
Why would you need the Normal monster support?

Half of them stop you from using Gem-Knight Fusion properly by banishing them or whatever, and the other half are outclassed by stuff like Obsidian.

You're not getting the point.
I suck at understanding things unless they are VERY CLEARLY EXPLAINED.
Please, tell me, in as great detail as you possibly can manage, why I should get rid of my perfectly good Normal Monster support, and why it apparently doesn't work.
I'm not trying to argue with you. I just want a thorough explanation, something that very few people seem to be able to give me.
Which I also don't understand why that is such a problem with most of you.
I hate wallowing about in ignorance, which is nowhere near blissful. I want to be as good as you all, so I am trying to learn how I am supposed to properly build a deck. But that requires some effort on your part.
Is that too much to ask?

Most people don't immediately know whether someone sucks at understanding or not ._.

The majority of TCG can understand anyway.

Swing of Memories is just bad. Obsidian will nearly always be used over it because of how abundant Gem-Knight Fusion will be for people. And Obsidian can be recycled, unlike these Spell cards.

The same argument goes for Silent Doom.

White Elephant's Gift is just far too mediocre. You'll probably end up needing the Gem-Knight more than anything. Consistency is provided by Turtle and Armadillo. Extra consistency which is just taking up deck space is useless when you can use that space for power and match-up techs.

Then should I just tack on a sign or something?
Anyways, thank you, and the other cards I get, save for Future Fusion.
What would I Fusion Summon?

That reminds me. You should fix your Extra Deck.

Basically:

Replace Obsidian with Lazuli (when it comes out on DN). It does the same thing, but better (since you will never really have to Summon any of your Gem-Knights. Just have them in your hand).

Then, you should usually go for Master Daia (when it comes out on DN) when you use Future Fusion.

OK. Besides the lack of Chain and Emeral, what do I need to fix about my Fusion Deck?
And why can't I run both?
And if I'm never going to summon my monsters, what will I use my Normal Summon for?
Armadillo, Turtle, Summoner Monk, Rabbit (instead of Alexandrite). That's it, to be honest. If you have a spare Normal Summon, you can Normal Summon your Normal Gem-Knights. They're decent beatsticks.

And you can run both Chain and Emeral. Not sure what else to fix because I'm bad at the Extra Deck of Gem-Knights.

...I don't really like Rabbit...
It banishes itself, meaning you can't get it back without Leviair or something, which this deck can't run, and its very limiting on what it can pull.
For example, if I got out 2 Garnets, that means I can either Xyz Summon one of my 3 Rank 4s, Fuse for Ruby, or fuse for Citrine.

It can pull 2 Gem-Knights which is an instant Fusion of your choice.

And how can you not run Tour Guide here? It's pretty easy to add it if you wanted.
