I need some official ruling on this card [Peten The Dark Clown]

There are some ideas I have for using this card, but I don't know if they're accurate moves or not. Yugioh Wikia was no help, and gave no solid answers, so I want to know if you guys think these work or not. (I want to trigger Peten's effect with the cards I'm using)

• Peten + Wonder Wand
  
• Peten + Hand Destruction
  
• Peten + Dark World Dealings
  
• Peten discarded due to 7+ cards in the hand
  
• Peten Detached or xyz monster destroyed w/ Peten attached
  
• Peten destroyed due to Dark Hole, Torrential Tribute, or any other spell or trap cards that destroy monster(s)
  
• Stardust nuke with Peten on the field.
  

It might just be me being out of the game for a while, but I just want to know how I can use Peten to its fullest.

Of all those cases, I believe it will only work with DWD, destroyed Exceed monster with this as an OU, and the nukes.

Peten + Wonder Wand: Misses the timing, last effect to resolve is Wonder Wand drawing 2 cards.

 

Peten + Hand Destruction: Misses the timing. Despite its wording, it is impossible to both "Discard from Hand" and "Draw" simultaneously. Discarding will happen first, then Drawing, so the last thing to happen will be Drawing only.

 

Peten + Dark World Dealings: This is acceptable as the last thing to occur is discarding.

 

Peten discarded due to 7+ cards in the hand: This is acceptable as all cards discarded during the End Phase for having too many cards are done at the same time.

 

Peten Detached or xyz monster destroyed w/ Peten attached: Depends. If you activated an effect which used an Xyz Material as a cost, then it would miss the timing as discarding is the last thing to occur. If it were a Continuous Effect, such as Gachi or Zenmaines, then the last effect to have resolved must have been the destruction effect. If any other effects resolve inbetween that sentence, then you will miss the timing. If the Xyz is destroyed by battle and its materials went to the Graveyard, then it will activate then.

 

Peten destroyed due to Dark Hole, Torrential Tribute, or any other spell or trap cards that destroy monster(s): This is fine as all monsters are destroyed simultaneously (again, so long as said card is Chain Link 1 is this scenario, making the destruction of Peten the last thing to occur).

 

Stardust nuke with Peten on the field: Stardust doesn't nuke :o If you mean Black Rose Dragon, then sure, as with Dark Hole, all destruction happens simultaneously.

 

 

The "Missing the Timing" concept hasn't changed at all, so as long as you understand how it works, then it shouldn't be an issue to answer in any situation.
