JadenxAtemYAOI
I have noticed this several times in duels on YN but a lot of guys go easy on girls. So I ask this, why do boys feel the need to go easy on girls. Do you believe it is a type of gamer chivalry, is it a flirting method of yours, or something that is completely stupid? John A. Zoidberg
It's all a matter of people placing others into a gender class (i.e. the belief that men are stronger than women, women are meant to cook&clean, etc.). Personally, I think gender classes are bullshit, but some find it to be traditional and correct.

Grunt Issun
I personally think that's really stupid. Then again, I suck at most competitive things, so going easy would end the same way going full force would.

Legend Zero
I don't even know my opponent's gender 99% of the time. The thing I find annoying most is when people specifically ask for a certain gender.

This Account is Unplayable
Wait, idgi, what does gender have to do with a trading card game? Only difference is that statistically far fewer females play, which still shouldn't make a difference.
Larxene
I pretty much never go easy on anyone unless it can work in my advantage in the way of either hustling or flirting with someone. Either way it's all about knowing your opponent.

Morrigan
It has happened to me that my opponent purposefully helped me win. He was not even good, so I found it hilarious. I believe that in my example, my opponent did so out of some flimsy chivalry (similar to "never hit a girl").
Rasta Bolt
Let me put it like this: Sexism is a horrible and wrong thing. Especially for females. They shouldn't be placed in a separate and lower category from males. But when a man hits a woman, it's not okay.
I sorta get what you're saying. You prefer it when they play correctly and don't go easy. Don't treat you like you'll lose anyway. Treat you like one of the boys. My friend Matt(not YCMaker) on there was actually told off by me. He said he'd quit going easy. Beat him anyway.
I can actually agree with this sadly. Just because a girl is a girl shouldn't take the man's right to fight back. That and back in high school it was actually recommended in the school newspaper that APPARENTLY girls are like animals when fighting. If you don't fight back and play dead we lose interest. I recall a woman in California sewing her husband under the bed sheets for cheating.

Marisa Kirisame-ze
I think even saying your gender in relations to gaming is completely stupid. I'm talking about the girls who will easily point out "I'm a gamer girl". It's doesn't make you more attractive towards guys. And I feel like that was completely off topic to what this thread is about, but it reminded me of it a lot. Anyways, guys shouldn't go easier on girls. Especially in a CARD GAME. Like what is this. John A. Zoidberg
There is a difference between fighting back and defending yourself.
To some extent. But in a verbal fight, when one relies on petty insults, the other's defense is that which defines them. Should they stoop to the level of the one who first insulted them, they are stupid. Should they realize that they are better than the other and shouldn't stoop to their level, they are truly more worth the time of everyone. The same goes for physical highschool fights about minor "I heard you talked about me!" altercations.
