Here's the 2nd card for the Leader set that I'm creating to co-exist in the YuGiOh universe. Again, this is just a prototype so please let me know if this is out of balance and how to balance it.

Lore: "Premathis cannot attack. While Premathis is face-up on the field, all Light monsters on the field gain "When this monster deals damage, it's controller gains that much in Life Points". You may flip Premathis face-down on your opponent's turn. If you do, target monster cannot attack this turn and it's controller gains it's attack in Life Points."

 

 

[NOTE: It reads ALL light monsters. This includes an opponents]

[Rules of Leader cards]

  • Leader cards come into play after the coin toss but before you draw your opening hand (this prevents giving away deck strategy)
  • Leader cards cannot be the target of attacks if there are monsters in the monster zone
  • Any time the leader is expected to leave play (received fatal damage, returned to hand, removed from game, sent to the graveyard) it is instead flipped over and all effects are "muted" (just like a real effect monster).
  • At the start of your turn, if your leader was face down, you may flip it face up [This does NOT count as a flip summon].
  • Like monster cards, you can only change the position of a leader once per turn.
  • Some Leaders will have deck construction conditions that MUST be met in order to use that Leader.
  • Activated Leader effects have the same spell speed as instant magic cards (helps resolve chain issues).
  • Any Leader triggered effects go on the chain via pre-priority process and therefore cannot be negated by trap cards.

Here's another. Decided to NOT make a new thread every time I post a new leader. Still waiting for feedback on the entire concept though.

Lore: "[Zombie Deck Only]

At the start of your turn, tribute 1 Zombie monster under your control. If you do, put 1 Zombie counter on Borus for each level of the tributed monster. Borus gains 200 ATK for each Zombie counter obtained"

 

 

I was thinking of changing Borus counter to 300 but I just don't want him to build up too fast.

I plan on making over 60 Leader cards at first. 10 for each element. (By the way, I've been out of the scene for a long time, where did "Divine" come from?)

 

Borus can only be used in a deck with ALL Zombie type monsters. I know there is no shortage of that monster type and what you don't put in your deck as a zombie you can still supplement with animated spell/trap cards (cards that turn into creatures).

 

I'm not thinking of having a Leader deck versus a leaderless deck. This again is a whole new game. I might even make leader support cards like armor/weapons.

Lore: Kathemma is also a Harpy Lady. Once per turn, you may discard a WIND monster from your hand. If you do, you may special summon any WIND monster from your hand into play. A monster summoned this way cannot attack this turn. Opposing Leader cards cannot declare an attack against Kathemma.

 

 

 

WIND was my favorite pre-5D when I quit.

Lore :: Astrail enters play in defense position. When an opposing monster declares an attack against Astrail flip a coin. If heads, double Astrail's DEF until the end of turn. Opposing Leaders ATK are doubled when they attack Astrail.

 

 

 

Not a fan of her lore. I think I'm going to change it to be WATER supportive instead.
